Anyone hear Mark Duffield's comments yesterday on 720? Finally a journalist has come out and said what a lot of us supporters have been saying for a long time. He basically said Perth have been uncompetitive for far too long and the WAFC need to appoint a few top people to identify talent in the Perth zone which he believes there is a lot more than what we see at the club and help get this talent to the club.

He said the WAFC has gone to great lengths to assist Peel and used the AFL as an example of a competition that assists clubs who have lacked success over a long period of time.

Thank you Mark, time for the WAFC to stop turning a blind eye to the Perth FC. They have a duty to the competition to assist any club that is uncompetitive in terms of being a realistic chance to play finals and make grand finals and win premierships. Hopefully someone at the WAFC were listening.
Get on your bike.

Come on DD why help a traditional club like Perth who have been struggling for a while when you can put all the resources, compensation & money into WART (because they are virtually all ex EP on the WAFC) & FART (to save their embarrassment in bringing this mob in)?

Have said it before and will raise it again - the next move for the once mighty Demons will be with the redevelopment of Lathlain for the East Perth Eagles, will be for the WAFL to "force" a merger between Perth and the Swannies. The last thing the WAFL want right at the moment is for the D's to be competitive.

PD it would be the death of Perth if they got into bed with the DEVIL INCARNATE.

PD it is impossible for the WAFL to force a merger without the agreement of members as per the Constitution.
The Club can not be wound up without the members.
The only course for the WAFL would be to revoke our licence and that would be unlikely I would have thought.
Conspiracy theories need to be realistic.

I do agree though instead of feathering the Eagles nest they need to ensure equalisation within the competition.
Sadly they have chosen for many years not to do so.

I wish that were true DF. The supporters and members of the old club formerly known as east perth never had a vote or even have a say!!! Next thing that's heard, it's been taken over! And the Perth prez has made his feelings well known. I fear the future of Perth, if it goes down the taken over road. You may as well turn out the lights and wave bye bye :( . Already lost two clubs  and to witness a third go down the gurgler would be catastrophic! However the club cannot be wound up, as such. Not without the members wishes and cannot see that happening. Perth supporters seem passionate and vocal. What's needed is support from the so called commission to strengthen the competition and that's been sadly lacking in recent years!!!

For us to lose the Perth club would be the final proof of just how little the WAFC has for the integrity of the WAFL.

WAG a merger is not possible without the members.
You are correct tho, an alignment is probably seen by some as a way out and that can occur without members support, as you say.
The only safe way is for change on the board and that won't happen.
No one around capable.

I agree and disagree with duffields comments
The club needs to look at itself higher up in there
Own Department from CEO onwards
Its how they treat there players coming up from
Colts etc
They r more interested in getting other has beans
From other clubs instead of nurturing there own youth
They have lost 58 players since 2013 with the majority
Being colts and reserves which is your backbone
Of your club
In regards to the CEO hes not concerned about
Winning its all about him holding his position for
When the eagles move in
