For a squad dripping with talent - and they do have some spectacular youngsters from their zones in Petrevski-Seton, McAdam, Cameron etc - they play the most bizarre zig-zag game plan of trying to split teams open by lateral transfer. It didn't work at Lathlain and I reckon it won't work at Claremont either. Why in hell you'd faff around with the ball in your back half "horse-shoeing" it when you've got Bradley, Hamp and Cameron in that forward line is beyond belief.

My dream is that McMahon moves on to Subi next and brings them back to the field.

I fear that Billings may be on the brink of being lost to WAFL footy. That hit on Plant yesterday was vicious and unnecessary. It might have got a cheer in 1976 but not now. It was a selfish act. This club desperately needs his experience and talent. I'm spewing he put himself in the firing line again unnecessarily.

And if there were 800 there yesterday then I reckon 500 of them were Demon supporters!

Edison and Einstein atomising and re inventing the game of WAFL footy. Might be worth a call to Wayne Orsi think he is at Subi and had a relationship with McMahon.

A couple of players stood out for me yesterday.

Have been really pleased with Liam McKenna. Each game he is getting better and improving.

Aidan Tropiano was brilliant at the clearances yesterday. 15 for the game to go along with his 25 possessions.

Brett Wolfenden is getting better with each game and he was definitely in the top 2 for me. It's very good to have a midfielder that can kick goals and I think we haven't seen the best of Wolfy yet in a Perth Jumper. Hopefully his game yesterday is an indication of things to come.

Cal Walley whilst he didn't get a lot of the football I thought his pace through the middle of the ground added something to our side.

Jarred Bell for someone so young seems to have a very mature head on his shoulders.

Cheers Swannie. I stayed at the crown last night with the missus and was watching the scores tick over on the app. Good thing they got up otherwise good chance I would have burnt the joint down

Well done Perth. Good things come to those who wait. Let Earl do his thing.

I will enjoy your best canteen with a couple of burgers and rolls next week when you take on the mighty Royals. Too scared to go into your bar for a drink though.

Why you scared to come into the bar Kenny?

I and obviously many others had an eye on the scores while watching Subi dismantle Sowfs and when Perth got over the line there was a very nice murmer of cheers for the D's around the ground.

I think everyone wants the D's to get some success so lets hope you guys, as a traditional WAFL team, can get some momentum and consistency going forward.

There actually seems to be some real positives at the club right now. A lot of credit to Earl and let's not forget the job Panetts is doing with the Ressies. It's a very young team and they are going great. I like the look of the coaching panel at the moment. We are getting plenty of inside 50's which speaks a lot for our mid field. Imagine if we had a key forward. Even if Mitch had played the last 2 games he would have had stacks of opportunity. And our last 2 games have been without both the Mortons

I have to agree Sacko. I was a sceptic pre season but having observed what has been happening there are lots of real positives now that we are 5 games into the season.
Earl is doing a great job. I like what I am seeing and hearing.
As had already been alluded to by others... The monkey is off our back, the sad chapter of the last 4 years is closed for good and the club can now move on into a new era.
Earl told the players post game that this was just one game and there are 15 more to be played this season. Enjoy the win and remember the feeling you have but don't forget that it does not end here.
