As I suspected 3 weeks out from the AGM and no ballot papers.
Thought they arrived today but it was membership renewal.

I suspect the election was avoided by someone being talked into withdrawing or someone never intending to seek re-election which was not mentioned when nominations were sought.

Again it would seem that it is an engineered Board.

I wonder if there is some new blood after all.

Over a decade since we last had a ballot.

Not healthy.

Out of interest how many ballots have happened at any WAFL club over the last ten years?

Did I mention anything (in this case) about air fares being paid ? The point being made is that other clubs do the ground work to semi secure these players and the only chance we have to sign them up is if Subi do not have points available in their cap. Paying cash money for the tax accumulated for 2 x signings last year, is not in the salary cap constitution La La !!!

Got the ballot papers today Only two new people up for nomination. At least there is an election and once and for all we will be able to see if any changes happen.

Well at last some good news. I can now tick the box on one of my gripes.
Great to see three new hands have gone up.
Nothing in my mail today though. I shall be in touch with the club if nothing arrives tomorrow.
Mr AFL, I count three new people.

Hooray, I was wrong.
Exercised my democratic right.
Hope fully some new blood on the Board.
Some dead wood gone.

Nar there are four Smokey.

Neil Darby is the Junior Vice President and the Director of Membership, Mat Bateman is the Director of District, Wayne Smith is the Director of Major Fundraising and Mark Treasure is the Director of Special Events.

All are seeking re-election and then there are the two potential newcomers.

Hopefully two new faces.
I like the football experience of Cathy.
And I think we need Len in as Director of Football.
