With the development of Lathlain Park now approved and our future playing arena either going to be the same dimensions as the MCG or the new Perth Stadium the club should immediately convert the existing oval to the layout we will be playing on in 2017. Does anyone know which layout we will play on?

Having WCE share our grounds will potentially offer the club opportunities to improve its revenue base. Does anyone know if the club has started planning for this change and if so any initiatives planned?

During the half time break of the WAFL GF telecast a package of the goals and marks was shown, Perth had not one highlight in the goals and one definite and one possible in the marks of the year. Although we had a poor year you would think they could have found at least a few more highlights from the two televised games were we privileged to be granted.

Its sounds like the ABC is going to continue its broadcasting of WAFL matches in 2015. I don't know the decision making process the ABC undertake in selecting games but Perth certainly didn't get its fair share of televised matches this year.

Whilst I find this annoying as a supporter it does nothing to help the club prosper either. I'm sure our sponsors would much prefer to get greater exposure via this media. The club should be vigorously stirring the pot with the WAFL/ABC to ensure we get at least 5 games in the home and away season.

Leave the dimensions as they are, please. I certainly won't be going near Laithlan ever again. I am not interested in being in a ground which is the the head quaters of the WCE. Remember you will have to look at that every week as a Perth supporter. Many years ago I walked into the actual Subiaco Football Club, asking if they had club merchandise. The response was: 'WCE"; I had to put them straight that I was a Lions man. You will get a lot of that at Perth in the future, but, it seems, increasingly, your board wishes to literally collapse the two clubs together. You should be trying to defend you unique football club rather than seek supposed commercial advantages

I wouldn't be counting on the ABC for the TV - I think they are going to still be covering the games on radio ????

I think you'll find Perth were on TV only twice this year so I'm not 1 bit surprised they struggled to find a decent highlight. How many times were West Coast on? Seemed to be every second week

I personally dont have a problem if the better teams get on the ABC more often than the crapier teams.
Lets face it we would have been an embarrassment had we been seen on TV more times and a turn off for potential new sponsors.

Chopper i thought the new stadium and the MCG were going to be the same dimensions??

From what I read somewhere they are going to build a second oval where the car park is the same dimensions as the MCG and the current oval with be more North south and I am guessing it will be the same dimensions as what the new stadium oval will be. I just hope our grandstand and members area doesn't end up behind the goals, don't mind if it's on a flank.

If they place the new stand behind the goals you will only ever see the ball at your end every second quarter based on the way Perth plays

DD my understanding is the new grand stand is going to be roughly where the shed is.
That means it will be on the wing as the ground is turned roughly 90 degrees.

I may be wrong but I think that was on the plan I saw.

I dont think it alters that much, looks like main gates on Goddard street still and the new stand is just about where the old grandstand is.
The oval still looks to be running north - south.
It looks like our oval will be the size of the new stadium oval and the outter oval the MCG size.
This may or may not be the final plans but its the only one i could find.
