Unbeleivable how many marks Swans took in the last quarter I agree DD.

Bloody demoralising.

Saw Williams address at quarter time and thought it was a lot more aggressive than the 5 or 6 addresses I saw from McMahon. Really liked it. Didn't see the 3/4 time address. BUT the result is still the same.

Hurts a lot more than a Freo loss for mine.

I didn't get a budget today so cant' give many thoughts on the newish 5 or 6 new players except to say that their first 3/4 were fantastic

Do you mean spewing after the 3qrt time address TFAF?

No AFL.

I didn't see the 3/4 time address.

I just meant the players were spewing with the loss and rightly so.

Thought Williams 1/4 time address was really good.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

He is a young player and will hopefully learn from it.
I thought he was good today.

Kalajzic played well as did Sinclair down back, there is a bit there to work with if they are given the opportunity.
For what its worth I honestly believe Perth should forget about all this talk of big name recruits etc as it has got you nowhere in the 34 years I have been following the WAFL, most just come for the $$$ and then p!$$ off and you have to start the process all over again.
Look at yesterday's game with no Bevan, Morton, Stack etc Perth played better because you played as a TEAM & didnt rely on individuals to do the job.
Just my 5c worth anyway!

I necessarily don't want to have big name recruits just for the sake of it. I would prefer that we target players that can fill a position that needs filling. i.e a key forward, key back, ruckman and some midfielders with speed and good skills that 9/10 can hit a target.

Of all the blokes to give an easy goal to. He would've been loving that.

Elari was actually more subdued yesterday as was Rogers.
His beef with the former coach not the Club?

BH we've known about Sinclair for some time.
He is very good and developing well, someone even suggested yesterday he is a chance in the draft.
Not sure about that, time will tell, but he is developing into a very good WAFL defender.
Haven't taken much notice with Kalajzic until yesterday, he too could develop ionto a very good WAFL player if he continues to develop like that.
I agree with you BH to an extent, I do believe that we have not been A grade in developing the colts talent that we have had from time to time.
Maybe we could take some lessons from SD.

BH and Mike, appreciate your comments. The big difference in yesterdays game that stood out for me was your talls took control in the air in the last qtr, Notte, Blakey (x2), Howard. And we played 3 ruckmen in Eyres, Leyendekkers and Power plus Deaves and our blokes hardly clunked a handful of marks between them. Where do you find them?

Deaves has been there long enough.
Maybe some of these blokes just need to be given 4 or 5 games, told the're there and give them a chance. We never do it.
Perfect opportunity the last weeks of the season to give Borrett a chance to show if he's got something.
Not sure he has but we need to give them a chance instead of playing pygmys in places where talls should be.

We need to get the whole playing group fit.
I am sick and tired of hearing we have had our best pre-season ever and we're the fittest we've ever been.
Some of our reserves players are not fit enough for reserves football let alone league.
It's bullshit.
