I'm fucken sick of it. Another wasted opportunity this year. I can't recall a year when we have been in winning positions so often, some with the foot on the throat of the opposition but fail to go on with the job.

TBH on paper we had no right to win, we are missing a lot of key personal, but to the boys credit and credit to Trevor Williams, the boys came to play and played with real intent, but where was it in the last quarter??

I feel some players just don't hurt enough and one of them is Florio. He missed 2 or 3 golden opportunities in the last qtr. The mark he took on the boundary, if he was switched on he should have played on and kicked it across his body, but he blew 3 or 4 seconds before Boekhurst came across to cover for that.

Deaves missed two sitters in the 3rd qtr but he kicked two so I suppose he will get another game next week. We are not going to go forward pinning our faith in players like this.

I think we've found another league footballer this year in Joel Kalaczic. Showed guts in the last qtr going back with the flight and got ironed out flat.

We got absolutely killed in the air in the last qtr. I hope this loss hurts. If any player isn't gutted after that we should wave them goodbye.

Not sure if it was him or O'Sullivan but I guess he was trying to give a contest. I wouldn't be blaming the loss on that. Kalajzic puts his head over the ball and his body on the line. Shows some good signs going forward.

I agree that it didn't cost us the game but it was still stupid to give away a 50 and send Elari to the goal square.

Kalajzic does show signs that he can improve if given more exposure to league football.

Attack attack attack was the message to swans. What was ours. Players were spewing to be sure.

Unbeleivable how many marks Swans took in the last quarter I agree DD.

Saw Williams address at quarter time and thought it was a lot more aggressive than the 5 or 6 addresses I saw from McMahon. Really liked it. Didn't see the 3/4 time address. BUT the result is still the same.

Hurts a lot more than a Freo loss for mine.

I didn't get a budget today so cant' give many thoughts on the newish 5 or 6 new players except to say that their first 3/4 were fantastic

It's hard to criticise a bloke who had a big input but Bateman looked more interested in getting the cheap ball over the top or outside the contest than winning the ball in the last.

Please don't think I am being patronising guys but from the 3 times I have seen Perth this season, I find it hard to believe that they haven't won more games this year. The Dee's have competed as hard as anyone I have seen in various parts of the game, however they just seem to lose concentration at various times which then allows the opposition to get a run on and this has happened every time they have had Swans on toast in all 3 games this year. Maybe they need a strategy within the team for their leaders to recognise when the opposition have momentum and try to close it down and refocus the team. Perth dominated the first 3 quarters particularly the 2nd and 3rd and possibly missed some easy opportunities in the 3rd to put the game beyond reach.

I thought that the 50 to Elari was a bit soft to be honest as from what I could see the Perth player was trying to contest. He did crash into Aaron but I have seen a lot worse not given.

Couldn't agree more.

Mike the 50 was there, Kalajzic was very late in the back.
He is a young player and will hopefully learn from it.

I agree, he showed a lot of composure for a 20yo. Perths defence played well as a unit in the first 3 quarters but were overwhelmed in the last quarter when Swans got on top in the midfield. Tropiano, Hugg and Hunt were guys who caught my eye during the game. I think the new coach has something to work with here.
