Its a real shame that around a year ago there was some hope we were finals bound, now we are bound for another spoon.

I thought Houghton showed a bit yesterday. O'Sullivan has had a poor season but is good enough if he can recapture form from last year.

Of the players worthy of keeping Smith will be missing next year with Bateman and Bevan probably borderline to keep playing.

At the moment probably only C Morton, Risol, Hodge and would be definite top 22 players who are out with Leeson, Irons, Collard, Boyle and Keast borderline.

Unfortunately we ain't got the cattle and the playing list needs a significant overhaul, yet again.

Yep 40plus is just around the corner.

Going forward Houghton has to show more than a week here and a week there of form, imo he's had enough time and hasnt delivered,c ya!
O'Sullivan has been around long enough and TBH i have no idea which position he's best suited to,has gone backwards, time to move him on!
Florio is another who is borderline, imo.

We have wasted Clem Smith's talents by sitting him accross half back.
He'll get drafted but i reckon he's sliding down the pecking order.

30+, I can find a core group of about 16 which IMO forms the basis for a new player group next year. Of the rest ofthe current senior list of 40/50 players we will probably move about 15 on. These will mainly be 1 point players. I think we need to target some key recruits and I would like to see Ali and Teddy back at the club.. But we will have to bring iin some 1 point players and I cannot see a lot pushing for senior listing so it seems that depth may initially be a problem for the new coach.
That core group of 16 may become 20 or so to provide additional depth.

Perth are a club that just astounds me.

I think the best thing for what's left is to just hold thing together until the eagles move there , in the meantime do all you can to secure the host club deal once East Perths 5 yr deal is up., there's no hope of improvemt otherwise.

Bazza you understand though if Perth merges with the eagles they won't have a supporter left? That makes it a shell of a club and a complete fraud. I'd rather win 3 games a year then win fraudulent flags aligned with a super power

For a bloke that's 192cm and played 70 odd games Michael Florio is one of the softest footballers I've even seen. He plays the same way he did when he made his debut.

Unfortunately Sacko we have quite a few players the same and i reckon its probably time to say goodbye to them.

Our whole system from getting these kids from our zones to bringing them through the colts system to promoting them to league is a failure and just one more area this club needs to look at long and hard.
The talent gap between the kid that gets drafted to the kid the goes on and eventually plays league for Perth is huge.

Anyone got the word on who is the front runner to coach us??

If they continue the way they are, they wont have any supporters anyway.

Mate, it really doesn't matter now, the supporter base is irrelevant now, that point past about ten years ago or more.

And your club is where on the ladder? On recent form your mob is not in much better shape mate. Best you keep quiet.

thats a bullshit comment quite frankly, we have had a mountain of success compared to your lot, there is no escaping Perths dismal performance over three decades, yep and the mo we are down a bit , you can wear that - but there are ebbs of highs and lows - yours is just one friggen long low.
