The Demons took the game right up to the Falcons and,indeed, hit the front during the last quarter only to let it slip with some silly errors under pressure at critical times. Greater experience of WP allowed them to steady and take the game.
Then this week WP come out and thump the Royal Eagles. Yes I know EP had several players missing but so did we last week.
What does this all mean? Well IMO it shows that our early season form is very good. The boys have shown that they can take it up to any side. All they have to do is eliminate those silly errors and we will see some very good results in the weeks to come.
Next Sunday will be important and will tell us plenty one way or another. We should beat Swans if we are to be a contender.

Smokey the fact is we should have beaten WP. We had that game by the balls at the 15 minute of the last quarter but persisted with bombing it blindly into the forward line even though WP had extra numbers back behind the ball. Why we didn't try and control the ball more in that last 15 minutes has got me stuffed but McMahon only has a Plan A and once again, it was break through or bust. Just dumb football in my view.

We'll know a lot more about where this club is at after the next four games starting this Sunday. Already it looks like to me its EF, SD, P and S in the mix for two of the top four spots if you accept that EP and WP are monties to finish in the top two.

Swans have terrorised us in recent times running and carrying the ball through our press at will. Our form after byes hasn't been great. This is going to be a big test for this club and I sincerely hope the coach's box is up to it for once this time.

This is why you blokes dont have winning seasons, still harping on about a game played 9 days ago and worse still comparing it the Derby on the weekend. Perth lost the game to an average Falcons outfit. bottom line.
Lose this week and am afraid its all over for the Demons in 2014. Ladder will be taking real shape.
