Hopefully can get a couple of more games out of Clem Smith before he goes away for the State 18's. If we can get 10 games out him then we are going ok.

Perhaps teams so far have paid Bevans goal kicking skills a bit more respect this year,he definitely slipped under the radar last year......how many did he kick in his first year at PFC?........still handy to know you have a fella on the ground capable of kicking a few if the need arises.........

I think its fair enough for Clem to play in the Aboriginal under 18 this week as something special but in regards to missing 10 other games with state under 18 duties I seriously would have thought it would be better for his development if he played against MEN in the WAFL rather than against under eighteens in State 18's.

Am I way off the mark again.

Once he is away on 18s duties I don't think you will see him again.
They will wrap him in cotton wool for the year once 28s duties are over.
Just my opinion.

But what do you think is better for his development DF?

Playing against men in the WAFL or kids in under 18's, or worse as you say wrapping in cotton wool.

I bet he loves playing along side Ugal, Collard, Stack and Bateman.

He should get a say in the matter.

Good chance to test our depth and also give another opportunity to those working hard to want to be part of this team. I'm sure there's 4 or 5 eager to get in which is a great thing early in the season.
Smith will be told how many games he can play when his state duties are over just so they can manage the kid before the draft. He will still no doubt be available for select games, so hopefully we can select the best ones where he is required for the betterment of the team.

Chance named in the reserves. No Hayden Busher in the reserves. League teams not up yet but if the Bush is named he bloody well better be ready cause he was so far underdone in his league return last year it wasn't funny.

I can't complain with one forced change. Who should replace Smith though. the candidates are. Power, Hunt, Lynch or the Bush. Maybe the Bush if (and it's a big if after the way i have seen him limping around) he is fully fit. I welcome him back with open arms if fit but last year bugged me how he was so underdone in his return.

I would lean towards Hunt if there is any doubt what so ever.
