Deaves is one that I would consider getting rid of. Been at the club 3 years now. But Borret and Brookes have only come to the club this year.

Yes the are no Dayle Garlett but will Dayle disrupt the squad? Is he ready to put in the work required?

Well that's for the club to decide but if they go with him it would be a no brainer getting rid of the blokes mentioned.

If there is no issue with his behaviour and judging by Hawthorn it was a homesick/footy overload that was the problem then yeah we would have to seriously look at him.
He can only make us a stronger unit and i doubt whether any player would have an issue with that.

Where exactly are we with our total points??
I agree with Peter North 5 to 10 point players are your "A" graders and should be playing league and not ressies,Deaves for example has been around long enough to prove his worth and in a team that has always lacked talls he should have made his mark by now.

If we have the points and coin and Garlett wants to join us then i say go for it!!

Perth would know very well how destructive he can be. He kicked 12 goals in 3 games for Swans against the Demons last year including that bag of 6 in that close game at Lathlain. I think if Mcmahon can get him to buy in to the culture he is trying to create at Perth he would be a great recruit and would certainly win games for you guys. If the Sunday times is to be believed he seems to want to play for Perth as well rather than Swans

Remember also we will lose Clem Smith to the 18's which is for quite a few weeks,Garlett would be the perfect replacement.

On another note PN, I believe Paul Bevan will play a bit up the ground this year.
They are trying to introduce versatility and with the inclusion of Mitch Morton I think Bevan will play more up the ground.

I agree Garlett would be an excellent addition if we can get him to fit in to the culture. Big ask but up to the Club to achieve it, by all accounts maybe Marty thinks he can.

10 point players must be A graders, no argument, that's been a problem in the past.

Very much looking forward to the Mortons evolving as part of the Club, I believe they will have enormous input, as I believe they already are.
