Over in General Chat, Grump has put up the list of fixtures for next season. Not sure if it's 100% correct but thanks anyway Grump

21) West Perth H

23) Claremont H
24) South Fremantle H

Round 5 against East Fremantle is a Sunday game scheduled for the 14th April. Round 7 against East Perth is scheduled for ANZAC Day. Our other home game against East Perth in round 13 is scheduled for Sunday 16th June.

It appears to be a fairly even fixture for us. At home for 4 out of the first 7 rounds and there is two byes in that time aswell.

Sorry MR AFL but its a disgraceful fixture and one where we are disadvantaged big time.

We dont play a home game between round 14 and round 20,we are away from home for 7 weeks straight,6 games(i assume the rd 17 clash V Subi is in the country)and a bye!
How the hell does that work and how can this fixture be classed as fair.
No team should have to be away from home for that long.

Hopefully Grump has got it wrong.

I can understand what you're saying 30 plus. I mean it seems fair compared to previous seasons. I remember one year were we played at home in the middle of April and didn't play there again until the end of May.

In fact in 13 straight games of footy from round 8 to the end of round 20 we play 11 away games and 2 at home!!!

Every year the fixtures get more bizzare. This year it was playing teams twice within a few weeks.

Somethings never change though - Peel first game.

I really don't care where we play the opposition. If you are good enough you'll win regardless of where you play.

If there is any positive in the fixtures it is that we only play last year's Grand Finalists twice.

Dazzler we struggle to win at home let alone away.
Footy's all about momentum and if we dont have it going into round 9 it could get ugly.
I know you are supposed to win anywhere anytime but gee even the best going around would struggle with that ammount of away games in a row.

Fixturing should be done a bit better than getting 2 home games out of 13.
No bar takings in that time,its a time if we lose the bulk of those away games supporters will drop off,its a very tough ask to play so many away games in one stretch.

We played East Perth in 2012 3 weeks apart and there was a bye inbetween which meant we played them in consecutive weeks,that was bizzare.

I wonder if the likes of Claremont get such bad fixturing?

Anyway thats just my opinion on the fixturing,looks like its been done using a dart board.

gotta agree there 30plus...rounds 8 to 20 are really the "guts" of the season where a position in the 4 can be won or lost and only 2 at home is certainly not ideal.

Actually 30 plus I'm going to change my stance on this. While I'm satisfied with our start and finish to the season you're right about the middle part of the season. You'd think they'd be able to give us 4 or even 5 home games here to make it look a bit more even.

Fixturing is hard to do, don't get me wrong but this just doesn't seem right? Surely this isn't the actual fixtures is it Grump?

Again we play Peel 3 times and again twice at Peel.

Year after year after year after year after year.

Whoever is responsible for fixturing needs to be sacked, years ago.

I agree 11 out of 13 games are away is a joke.

Just had a brief look at past fixtures and in 2011, in 11 matches towards the end of the season we played 8 Away games.

East Perth (Away), Subiaco (Home), Peel (Away), East Fremantle (Away), Claremont (Away), Swans (Home), East Perth (Away), West Perth (Away), South Fremantle (Home), Subiaco (Away) and Peel (Away).

So it has happened before.
