From a Perth perspective I think compared to 2013 the fixtures are better.

No one know's how strong any team will be next year. Got to have the anytime, anywhere mentality.

I don't know how playing the aligned teams 6 times equates to a good fixture.

We played them 6 times last year PN!

From a financial aspect the club I'm sure will be looking forward to having:

Swan Districts at home rounds 5/10 (at Lathlain averaged 2,400 last two seasons)

Round 5 is a Sunday game, Easter Weekend, No AFL games on Sunday and it is the only WAFL game

Round 10 is a Saturday game, is the only WAFL game on as well, is the WA Day Weekend and there are no AFL games until the Sunday.

East Perth at home in rounds 11/21 (at Lathlain averaged 2,500 last two seasons)

West Perth at home in round 23 (at Lathlain averaged 2,500 between 2010-12)

Not so sure that Peel are going to be as invincible as people think if you analyse their list.

East Perth will probably be the benchmark next year (for how many years not so sure) and others that have been invincible are not going to be so.

Have to beat anyone anywhere anytime.

Have a go I say, there are some at Lathlain determined to be the best they can, whether that is good enough time will tell.

Not so sure we are all doom and gloom as some would say, then some are never happy nor will they do anything about it.

Bring it on I say, they may surprise some.

EP and Peel will be considerably stronger this year, and I don't see where the improvement is going to come from us if anything we are going to be weaker, our player losses out way our gains anyway I can see us losing those 6 games to the aligned clubs meaning we have to win 12 of the 14 remaining games.

East Perth will be stronger for the alignment as they already have a strong side. And I believe that the Eagles players that played WAFL in 2013 are more solid contributors than the Dockers players were.

Peel will be more competitive yes. but don't expect them to go from 5-6 wins a year to 14-15 wins. In time it will probably happen but I can't see it happening in 2014.

Apart from Jackson Sketcher and Kyle Reimers, who have we lost. And as I said before either on this thread or another, Sketcher is the only player out of the two who could be considered as a loss due to his performances in 2013.

Apart from the last game, what did Reimers do for most of the season????? Talented yes and he SHOULD have been a lot better this year than he was.

And McInnes, Tunbridge and Colledge hurt yes but these are players that we had no control over loosing. For what it's worth I think at least one of them could be back at Perth in 2015.

As far as i'm concerned McIness and Tunbridge are not only losses but huge losses whether they were AFL listed or not. They will play more wafl than afl in 2014,they will only get better at this level.
McIness was our only genuine forward KP...have we replaced him???

Have Tedesco and Ali Smith been confirmed as starters in 2014??

Reimers may have had a quiet season but who can say what 2014 would have bought...we will now never know.

What i can see thus far is our losses far outweigh our ins.

To get into the 4 we will need at least 1 dominant KP forward,a stronger midfield,a stronger ruck division and a KP at CHB that can play that position all year.
I've been away for a few weeks and dont really know, have we managed to bolster and improve any of these positions??

In a nutshell NO.
The 2 Mortons and Ugle and that's about it.
Tedesco will be a huge loss. When he got injured last year coincided with our drop off near the end of the season.
