The only problem at PFC was he was lazy and uncommitted. I see that as why we didn't get value out of him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a McMahon fan.

C'mon DF. Don't get started on All Australian half back rubbish again. That was in a world class side in the best compitition. We had 60-70 goals a season at our finger tips and played him at half back. Give me a f*^ken break please....

We have played our "top line" recruits out of position for years.

Just like we have robbed Peter to pay Paul with our rucks over the years, dragging Kpp's into the second ruck because theres no one else...we are just slowe learners when it comes down to what it is we need to become a serious force.

I bet London to a brick we go into another season in 2014 without a genuine tall KP forward!

It's a certainty 30+. I heard Mitch Morton say he wants to play half back wing position. He's a forward surely? Hopefully if he's fully fit that might work out ok but we still need to recruit a tall forward for that to work.

And please everyone lets not start the Leon discussion again... It's as obvious as dogs balls he was played in the wrong position... Huge hairy dogs balls

He certainly didnt kick those valuable goals in the GF for Hawthorn playing in the backline.
In this comp i reckon he would be more dangerous on a half forward flank and imo and at 6' 1' he's not tall enough for a KP.
However i could also see him playing on a wing.
Its my opinion that you dont get 10+ point players to play them in back pockets or on half back flanks.

Boys yes a Key Forward would be magnificent. However they don't grow on trees. It is hard to fit everyone under the points cap and the salary cap. Let's wait until the Christmas Party to see who the club has recruited.

In saying that though if we got another ruckman could we work it so either the resting ruckman or perhaps Mitch Leyendekkers plays down there. Only has to be a marking target and allow the likes of Stack, Bevan, Collard, Leeson or even Boyle to crumb. Last season it was obvious that we mainly looked for Stack and Bevan. If we are able to get another target that we can go to 10-15% of the time, might make us a bit more unpredictable.

I dont accept that.
There are plenty of good comps out there that have KPP's.
Its up to our recruiting boys to work it out under the points to get whats needed.
If we rely on our resting ruckman to do the KP forward work then we may as well give up now!

Work out our points and fit in a KPP if you want to play finals!!
All those blokes you named played this season,we need a tall target that can be a presence??
I have said this before its no coincidence that our last finals appearance was when we had big Spinks playing CHF.

What if they don't want to come?

Morton should be a good recruit, lets hope that we are able to get a key forward, key back, midfielder and another ruckman.
