That's a good start on the recruiting front. Maybe now it's time to rape the arse out of East Perth
any chance of promoting some of those colts boys who did well for the club this year instead?.........fingers crossed Mitch Morton delivers for you guys.....been a bit of an enigma so far in his footy career......
I'm not to sure the talents that great at colts level when you finish 3rd and bow out in the first week of finals.
Lets face it the real good ones get taken in the draft and they tend to be the Kpp's,rucks and mids....the leftovers i think are probably a fair way off the pace, there may be the odd one that makes it staight away but they tend to be the mid-sized/utility players.

The alignment and loss of key personel to those clubs has certainly made recruiting more critical than in the past.

I take it East freo will be relying on your colts kids getting promoted and returning your league team to the top 4 in 2014??
yeah if those EF boys were Marsh, Jansen, Cripps, Green or Alirr 30+.....sadly it won't be and EF won't have much choice but looking elese where....don't think Perth have that problem mate......interesting to see those colts left overs at WP in Nelson, Black, Rodda, Manning and Rasmussen play their part in WP recent GF win......

If those EF Colts boys are as good as you seem to think they are freeze why on earth did Stavros not promote them to your mobs League side or is that not the EF way to promote promising Colts up to League like other WAFL clubs do with success??
I mean it is not as if EF are world beaters at League level not to give these boys a go!!

Great pick up for the red legs! Mitch is probably the one of the best WA delisted players in the AFL and will be another 50+ goal kicker for us in 2014.

There are more announcements to come...... :P

I saw his brother Jarrod very pissed off after Perth lost to Claremont. I tell you it was great to see. If these two can bring that sort of expectation of winning and disappointment of loosing to the club we will be on the right track. Should be a much better signing than the two East Perth brothers in 2012.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Happy to have Mitch sign on but will reserve my judgement on new signings once all the recruiting is done.

The headline in The West, suggested that he will be playing forward. If he can kick play to his potential then he should be able to kick at least 35 goals and more. If Bevan and Stack can continue their 2013 form into next year and if we are able to have either Eyres, Leyendekkers or another ruckman (should we sign one) play up there to provide a marking target?

Big question in all that though is IF....

Yes a good start.

Heard some time a go we were talking to Frank Stockley & an eastern states ruckman.

Need a tall back to help Meatballs and maybe another midfielder.

Anybody heard anything else?

Mitch Morton is a good pickup and im pleased(as stated by someone else)that he will be playing forward but who are the tall KPP's in our forward line??
Morton is roughly 6' 1",if Busher goes down and his history of the past 2 seasons is he's no guarentees for 20 matches, who are the tall go to players in our forward line?

We definately,no ifs or buts need another midfielder especially if Ali Smith goes elsewhere(even with Smith on-board we need a pacy mid with skill).

Sacko wrote: Ripper. That's a great get. Jarrod resigning is a bonus too. He was very good late in the year. So does that mean Reimers is gone?

I hope he hasnt gone.
I know quite a few supporters had issues with him but i would like to pass judgement on a second year with us.
Most players that come back into the wafl from over east tend not to have a huge and long pre-season for whatever reason and i would like to see Reimers do a full pre-season with us and hit the season fully fit,i reckon he was behind the 8 ball for the season with his fitness.

The other Morton at East Perth may yet get delisted and we could end up with all 3 Mortons...yeah i know.......

I'd be very surprised if Cal Morton didn't get delisted. You can have him. Talented but no heart IMO.

You wouldnt need him anyway Clear-View with the large number of recruits you will be getting from other clubs.
