A few things that I got from it:

He sees Busher and Fry as replacements for McInnes and Tunbridge.

Nodded off during his two-minute ramble of excuses of why we lost the close ones to EF and Swans and the big ones against EP and EF at the end of the season. Half expected him to finish with “…and my magnetic whiteboard stopped working”.

To be fair he made a pretty good case for some of the young kids developing at Lathlain. There’s some good youngsters coming through but its probably at the experienced end that the squad needs topping up with some big bodies.

Wheres our senior coach been for the last 2 seasons???
Busher can hardly stay on the park for a game let alone a full season,he is very much injury prone.
I can hear the excuse now "we would have been alright if Busher hadnt gone down injured"

Brad Fry is 27 next season i reckon if he was going to burst on the wafl scene it would have been a while back...Fry to replace Tunbridge...please!!

Memo to McMahon:Its no coincedence that our last finals appearance we had a big bloke by the name of Spinks at CHF,do yourself a favour and see if you can recruit something similar!

Im sorry but we have been listening to this "we have good kids" for bloody years and you know what so do all the other wafl clubs...we are not unique in this area of development!


Talk is cheap and easy lets just sit back and see the type of recruits we get.

Im with everyone else with Smith but hey lets clear him to another club and make them stronger,like we have all these gun midfielders falling out of the trees at Lathlain...NOT!!

Close losses were contributed by the non moves coming from the coaches box like have a couple of players sitting behind the ball V Swans at Lathlain!

Dazzler i just listened to the podcast.
He only ever states what the supporters already know.

Kept banging on about needing big bodies(which is true),wheres he been?we needed them when he first took over the league job.

He stated we are 30 games behind West Perth in development in my maths thats a season and a half not 3 seasons and Damian West Perth make the finals almost every season
The last 5 seasons under Monaghan they have played 3 of those seasons in the finals thats what seperates us.
We just dont make the 4 and play finals whilst these other teams do whilst setting themselves up for a tilt at the flag!


And Ali Smiths gone...at no stage did McMahon say he was wanted..."its up to Ali if he wants to stay"...c ya Ali!!
As senior coach Damian it would have been great if you had said "Ali is a required player and we will do all we can to see him at Lathlain next season"!

if that is the case then just shut the joint down now and hand back the licence to the WAFC which is what they will be working towards anyway because that's where this club will head if that's the decision.

FMD 2 more years after finishing 3 years of 6th,8th and 6th gee based on that he'd get a life times appointment if he got us in the 4!
Soft and easy option i think is what the clubs gone for.
He'd also be one of if not the lowest paid coaches in the wafl.

Only way we will play finals if we somehow assemble a gun team that is good enough to win games on pure talent.
