If he has left gee we know how to stuff things up,if next year isnt going to be hard enough losing players to the alignment clubs we cannot afford for our better players like Ali Smith to also leave and be lining up in opposition colours.
Our midfield imo is one of our weak areas yeah lets piss Ali Smith off!!

Hey Peter didnt 1 or 2 posters do there own line of enquiries and on there findings it was all a Swans smokie to put Smith off his game.....yeah right!!

Wasn't hard to work out something wasn't right when Ali was dropped to the ressies after the Swans game, sure he didn't play well but he was no orphan, I mean seriously who drops their best midfielder after one below par game.

Sacko, I couldn't agree more. But if it is true who should we be disappointed with.

The club for asking him to train harder and get fitter - because (lets be honest he is a great player but he was not fit).

Or him (for walking away from the club {if all this is true} when they may be on the verge of something) because he didn't want to train the house down along with everyone else?
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Greg Harding dropped Wayde Twomey after one ordinary game the week after he won the Simpson Medal for WA. Even though I criticised Harding at the time, I have to admit that Wayde's form has been much better in the 2nd half of the season .Sometimes good players need a wake up call and they have to choose if they are going to spit the dummy and walk out or alternatively prove the coach wrong.

Is that the reason for him playing ressies???
What happened at pre-season,isnt that the time all on the coaching staff are supposed to get the whole squad fit??
This late in the season and we have a player needing fitness??
I dont believe it!!

Do you have inside info or are you taking a stab in the dark??
His stats in the ressies that he has played would suggest otherwise, they are not the numbers of a player lacking in fitness nor form!!!

Long time 97 firstly thanks for the first post and welcome to Oz footy. Just a quick bit of housekeeping I would like to go through with you before you get started. If you are a past poster on this site disregard this as you should already know the rules :silly:

On the Oz footy thread we like to say that we have an agreement that when we post something on here it is done in a factual (as much as possible) and consultive way. What that means is when we have something hot off the press we give everyone a few tit bits on how we come across that information. What that does is it stops all these long suffering Perth fans arguing with each other for something that might not even be true! Now no one is asking you to divulge sources but some info on where and when would be a good starting point.

The info surrounding AS is not new. We have known since the end of the trade period that something is going on. Particularly the last minute trade deal with Lammie. And if what Pete North has said is true and I have no reason to doubt him (because I have heard this at the swans game as well) then AS probably wants out for whatever reason!! As Swans have already seen this year not everyone can be happy all the time whether its the club the player or heaven forbid us supporters.

To be honest if AS does go at the end of the year I wont be loosing sleep because there is no point in loosing any sleep. Good player yes he is .......dosnt want to play for Perth than good luck to ya mate. You will get the same welcome back at Lathlain that opposition players get. For every player that goes another will show up and life goes on. Footy is a team sport and its bigger than any one player!

Don't worry there will be enough people who will be absolutely wrapt if he does go....... and we will see plenty of posts proclaiming mutiny at Pfc all next year. Perth supporters have to be united and accept that arguing over the administration of our footy club dosnt achieve anything!

Lucifer life will go on with out Ali, but I don't reckon we will be playing finals with out Ali in our side, the last two wins have been against two ordinary sides where Ali's absence hasn't been noticed with the likes of EF,EP,WP and the Tigers coming up that's where we will miss him.

Don't know about you but I would of thought going back to ressies and putting up to dominant performances would suggest that he wants to play league, everything points to the club saying you are no longer in the best 22 so he's up and left, my source says he was offered up to Swans this latest episode sort of vindicates that obviously someone at the club doesn't rate him.

I agree. Our best performances this year have included AS! He has been in our best 3 performers majority of the year and will poll both Sandover and butcher votes to prove it.

IMO there is no point the club or AS holding any grudge with each other for the remainder of the year....nobody will win from that stance. If Pfc have the opinion that he should play 2nd's because he is leaving and its an opportunity to blood another player that will be staying that is disappointing because I always say you should put your best side on the park every week! If there's been an indiscretion fine (I don't think this is the case) but its time to get the boy back on the park.

Loose this game against EF and our season is up the shit!! I will down at Freo and if he plays ressies with Reimers I will letting a few people in red and black ties know my thoughts that's for sure!

Lucifer how can you say you lose this game v EF and your season is cream crackered?.....EF would only be in the 4 on % with games v the top 3 teams left......bit surprised at your housekeeping there....lets stay factual mate....supposedly that's how it's done here on the Perth thread. ;)

not too sure why Lammie would play for PFC next year....especially with all these rucks Perth possesses......you do know Wes only plays league don't you?....anythong less and he won't be happy!!

Ahh Freeze..... One of the cheerleaders for the Pfc! I knew you wouldn't be too far away with this round 20 clash approaching!

Don't worry mate I enjoy a good story as much as the next bloke but I have been on here long enough to know that first posters usually have an agenda (no offence to 97 that's just the way it is).

One thing you can also rely on for the Perth thread Freeze (in addition to telling the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth)is we live in the real world! I know that this loss to your lot will do more than ladder pressure. It will turn the mentality from 'hey we might be a chance here' to 'Oh well there goes another one'. Playing three top sides for the remainder will not be easy and Swans have a great run home!

Don't get me wrong we should get the job done down at slime street just a matter of percentage I reckon and who kicks the last goal with 10 seconds to go!

regardless of my personal opinion on Wes (which is good from a player perspective and really bad from a team perspective) I think the deals already been done!
