Hopefully our last 710pm game. With the win yesterday and the One v Four ladder this should see a great crowd and atmosphere.

I would think Taylor and Derksen straight back in. Stubbs for Derksen but who for Taylor? Preston Coates is 197cm while Taylor is 188cm so we probably need PC's height. I do worry about PC's speed though and I imagine Kuek at 199cm would be pretty slippery for PC.

I think we should look at playing Poole in the backline over the next few weeks (In the Ressies)  to give us some more options. With his head knocks it may be better back anyway.

Be interesting to see if McLean holds his spot. He started beautifully in round 1 but has fallen away a bit. Retaining his spot could be the confidence boost he needs but gaining some form in the seconds is another option.

R. Clarke has looked rusty since his return, Burner was rusty yesterday 2 x terrible kicks to the oppo and already mentioned elsewhere Simpson was very rusty (4 games last year - no scratch match pre season - fair enough).

Like I said on the WC game thread - I heard Thorne was injured at training on Thursday - I didn't see him at the game and no-one I asked knew much about it really. Is he an in?

Watson looked proppy after the game. DD mentioned someone said Simpson was too - though he didn't look to be in my eyes.

The Ressies had a good hard training run yesterday apparently.  Good Stuff.

On a side note Mark Stone encourages the boys to have a couple of drinks and enjoy the win - good idea I think.

The girls doing ok for a first year team and the Rogers girls are 4th - great
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

After yesterday’s game it’s hard not to get exited. We have an A grade mid field with stacks of options. I really like the look of Randell. Strong inside mid. Wells is coming along nicely and like mentioned Byrne and Clarke were off yesterday. So that’s a good thing. The 2 talls in Clarke and Schlensog is a forward we haven’t had in 40 years. Schlensogs game was massive on the back of Clarkes 7. Great to have size all over the ground. Scoble and JPC are big bodies down back and Hine-Baston has genuine dash

That’s probably as strong of a side WC has put out at WAFL level so was quite an impressive win in the end, baring in mind they don’t have a lot of actual AFL quality players.

Huge game this week. If we win there’s zero reason to not play finals.

Scoble, Watson, Hine-Baston, Cachard. I think McClean is out of last years colts. Noah Murray played a few league games last year, can't see him breaking into the league side anytime soon. Can't think of any others.

Wills was out of that colts year but played for Subiaco, joint Clarke medalist with now WCE Cohen Livingstone.

Agree Stubbs makes way for Derksen. I think McLean would have to make way for Taylor - different positions, but we can shuffle things around a bit. If Thorne is considered, I would think either Philip or Watson make way, but it might be worth giving Thorne another run in the reserves. Do we tag Brayshaw? I think we should. I'd get Randall or R Clarke to do the job.

Good to see almost 100p kicked v WCER and good to see 6 goals from small forwards.

I reckon it's going to be a bit spicy against the ferals after the Randall switch. Micky looks like he's enjoying himself and pretty happy with the move. I reckon they'll target him and try get our players off our game and capitalise.

We usually come off second best in those scenarios but hopefully this year with an experienced coaching panel and more mature league squad we are capable of handling that sort of stuff in a more mature way and turn it to our advantage.

Big challenge will be Scott Jones. We saw Baily Williams dominate Edwards yesterday so Schlensog spent more time on him in the second half yesterday and nullified his influence somewhat. Not really any other options every team faces the same problem when they play EP.

EP always batted deep in the midfield so no surprise they are still reasonably strong despite losing 3 from last year. What's changed is they have more forward scoring options. So have we and bolstered our midfield so should share match of the round honours with the northern Italians vs the southern Italians clash.

4 - not that many really. Wills has been a great get - he's better than all those mentioned above. Few of the GF Colts mentioned must've been 19 year olds.

Yeh well we aren't as blessed as your club KC and a few others. We don't bat deep at colts level but watch this space.

You took one of our 2023 colts in Cameron Hall. How's he going I think he was the twin who plays key back. Kaleb Dempster-Park is another who we had high hopes for but didn't play WAFL last year and landed at Claremont this year. I believe he was originally from the Claremont area so I guess where his mates are.

The Ferals are not as good as many think, Perth can open them up with your leg speed. If you allow them to congest the game, they will get you, run the fuckers off their feet.
