It goes to show the AFL has no respect for the second tier comps. If those meatheads had half a brain there would be a mid season trade period. Players that can't crack a league game that are dominating the reserves that other clubs are crying out for is what the AFL needs. Not AFL clubs raping the state comps to be their saviour.

How many players taken out of the WAFL have had their careers ruined after being taken in mid season drafts? I can think of 3. Jack Mayo from your club DG, Jaiden Hunter from Perth and as a result now playing for Claremont. Now Tom Edwards from Swans and they are suffering big time without him.

Very true DD and not to mention how about just using the players that are already on their lists in their reserves teams. Because generally that's where the msd recruits end up languishing in

Looking at A. Clarke yesterday I hope they bring Simpson back in through the Ressies. Only problem here though is that Ressies and Colts have no opposition as next week we are playing WC. This also puts off the return of Brogen Henry, Hill and Gray. 4 expected ins for the Ressies next game. 

Interesting how Q does one week to another. He was very ordinary last week against South but must have been great yesterday kicking 7 and would have to go above Stubbs in the pecking order of big/medium bodied forward.

Considering Johnston is still 5 or so weeks away I can really only see Simpson and Thorne pressing for a league spot.

Q, Stubbs, Poole, Hill, Gray, Dellamata, J Clarke, Moore, Brogan-Henry and Bodle will have to press hard for inclusion. 

Della could possible play a similar role to Parfitt if all the talk about the mid season draft comes into play. 

From yesterdays game all deserve to hold their spot - however you would think Thorne wood be in strong consideration to come in and possibly Simpson. Watson and Paton were a little rusty but would be stiff to be dropped so who makes way. Maybe no one.

Derkson has kicked 5 in two weeks but has only touched it about 7 times - I would like to see him get more of it.

Not sure where you get your stats from.
Derksen had 5 for 3 goals round 1 and 11 for 2 yesterday.
He is taller than Stubbs and Q at 193cm and more mobile.
Stubbs will find it hard.
As for the enigma he has to work harder at league level.
Obviously worked hard yesterday.
For mine Derksen gets the gig at the moment.
