Anybody go to the AGM tonight?
Posted a loss of app $25k.
Not too bad given the season we had.

I went. Not going to another one in a hurry but had my reasons. Yes 25k loss due to the 25k fine so not great either way but we get that out the way and move on. Club has forecasted a small operating profit in 2025.

Brian Cook decided to step away from the board but will remain in a vice patron role. The Commission investigation cost us a lot more than 25k given the amount of hours and resources it took up. And the club never failed to disclose any player payments.

A couple of tweaks to the constitution. The most significant is players can be eligible for life membership after 10 years of league service if they haven't necessarily achieved playing 150 games. This was mainly brought in for the women because their seasons are much shorter but will apply to the men also. At end of the day it will be the boards discretion.

Two of the club's longest serving volunteers were made Life Members. Those being Greg Dart and Doug Ransted. Congratulations to both.

Willie Dick will be the 2025 Club Legend. This was a very popular announcement.

Ashley McGrath, ex Brisbane Lions veteran of I think 209 AFL games is our new backline coach. Club is on the lookout for a midfield coach.

That's open to interpretation. Nothing is set in stone yet. I raised the topic. My take is TOVP Lord Mayor isn't prepared to put in another penny so we will be relying on the state government to stump up the rest. But the club has bigger plans. We need to be aiming for a similar setup that Claremont has and they had a LOT of government assistance that made that happen when a former Claremont footballer was Premier.

Did anyone read that Roger Cook has pledged half a billion dollars to the NRL to bring the Sydney Bears to Perth?
