Just received a letter from the President. Penalty handed down last night by the Commision relating to reporting of FBT which was unintentional, is as follows: $25k fine payable, 8 premiership points (suspended), 15 player points penalty (10 suspended). Let's get on with recruiting now please. No reason for anyone not to sign.

Good result. I wonder what has happened to EP. Hopefully the AGM on the 17th (7.30 pm) can give us some more good news, including a nice 2023/24 profit.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Sensible decision come end of the day. If Perth were to go into the season minus 12, with a distinct possibility of finishing the season on 0, it wouldn't be a good look for the comp. The comp needs every team to be a chance at the beginning of every season.

I'm glad you feel the RAGE Rock. Now you know what it feels like when things just aren't fair. We go into every season knowing this feeling and you know why. I'll happily take the -8 hit if your club agrees to swap zones.

Of course we weren't pumpkin. Back then our zones weren't a haven for new immigrants and social housing. Even our country zone was well populated and thriving. Both now are ROOTED.

In the 1970’s inner city clubs East Perth,West Perth and Perth figured in 9 of the 10 grand finals. In the eighties where the inner city demographics started to change,it coincided with the fact that none of these 3 figured in any Grand Final, and has led to a steady irreversible decline, and our recent Grand Final side contained a paltry 3 from our Metro Zone.                    I know we’ve been in recent times allocated the massive sprawling Ellenbrook area, but for its size and scope,it hasnt really added a lot to our playing stocks,so god knows what sports the youth of that region like to engage in.,and I can’t see how a touted move to nearby Whiteman Park would be any different.

Well said and so true. WAFL zone allocation hasn’t kept pace with this generational demographic shift.
