Where did you read or hear that Winger? Could have been anything Wayne Sims. Like his brother Doug super talented was signed on a form 4 to go to North Melbourne but was tragically cut down by a serious knee injury. I remember him having the better of Stephen Michael at Lathlain one day though Michael was in his twilight and had been shot in the leg accidentally by his cousin from memory while pig hunting. Sad news would have only been in his mid 60's. Way too young. R.I.P Wayne and condolences to the Sims family.

Finished his WAFL career at Swans in 1985.
In fact played in his only finals game in his 7 year career in his very last game.

Sad to hear of the passing of another well respected Wafl player..
