Where was the last qtr effort in the first 3? Constable injured again. Really missed Edwards but Schlensog was our best player followed by Thompson and Regan Clarke.

How bad is Constable? The bye next week may be well timed. Competitive effort overall, marred by a bad second quarter. Some players seemed to be very down on numbers: Cary with 6, Cachard 8, Davis 14. Leaves too much for the rest of the side to do. Apart from first round games v WP, C and EF, we have been in touching distance of most teams. But we need at least 3 top players and, above all, a fit list, to be a serious finals contender next year. 

Sign up Blake Schlensog now for as many years as possible. He is a brilliant player. I thought this was a good, tough, hard-fought game. East Freo are a quality unit. As usual, one quarter going nigh-night did the damage. This is a genuine question. Have the interchange rules changed? When Marsh came off the ground with the torn jumper, his replacement entered the game while Marsh was still 5 or so metres inside. I watched from then on and in all but two interchanges, EF players ran onto the oval before the player coming off had crossed the line. This used to be a serious offence that could have serious consequences. Is this no longer the case? Btw, every Perth interchange I saw was ok. Anyone have any ideas about this? 

We need another 190cm+ midfielder preferably with clearance skills.

Bad news about Constable, I hope he is not injury prone too.

I agree CM Schenslog is a class player.
I hope he is with us long term.

Will have to wait for scans but Constable looked to be favouring his left leg. He couldn't push off. I fear he could be out for another extended stint and possibly the season to look after him so he can fully recover and be ready for the next pre season.

Might be time to give the likes of Watson and Fairbank a go and get some games into them along with Hill as a mid or half forward as we lack pace up forward.
