Very sad news of the passing of former PFC president Damien Matthews.
A true Perth supporter on and off the field. Damien suffered from MND and sadly lost the battle a couple of days ago.

Worked tirelessly for the club and helped set us up very well financially.  A great supporter and a funny one too.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Sad news. Reckon I saw him at the EF game so he was there until the end. Jeez there’s some shit diseases out there.

A sad loss for our club. His heart was firmly Red & Black. He made a huge contribution to keeping the club financially healthy. He will be sadly missed.

Yes, rest in peace Damian.
A great supporter of the Club and he made an enormous contribution to the Club.
Carrying on good work in the wake of the legacy lefty by Brian Lawrence.
Condolences to John and the whole Matthews family.
I was shocked when he told me the news of his contracting this horrible disease.
Gone to soon.
