Was Dempsey Narkle another ex SF player to move to Perth around that same time?
Can remember Noel Carter coaching the Perth Reserves and playing the odd Ressies game as well back then in that late 80s era.

Not sure who Dempsey played under BH but I don't think it was Brownie but yes he came from SF. Under Brownie we had the likes of John Gavranich, Bogunovich and can't think of another ruckman at that time. Dempsey came after Brownie I think. Was a good player too a bit like Clem Michael not really the height for a ruckman but could play the role because he was so skillful and handy forward. Would love another one right now just like him.

Just checked on WAfootyfacts, he played for Perth in 1988/89 then went back to SF in 92 and 94.

Yep

It wasn’t only SF players who came to Perth during that period. Claremont had a big exodus as well.
Mark Watson, Lindsay Kanther, Dean Farmer, Brett Farmer and Allen Daniels all made the move to Perth from ‘85 - ‘87. 

Well here's the scoop. I'm told Mathew Parker and Cody Ninyett will play for Perth in 2024.

Woah.. great gets if we pull it off! Ninja is the last good small forward we had. This time we’ll have some key forwards for him to crumb off. And Matt Parker is no slouch either..  having a mid of his calibre will add some class to the side. Do we know if it’s a similar contract situation to Schlensog? I imagine they’ll be hanging on to Parker particularly hard

Finalise these 3 and I think we have recruited pretty well.

Matt Parker to team up with Charlie Thompson in the middle will do wonders for our clearances out of the centre. 
Ninja a welcome return - I presume he is a 1 pointer.
Constable, Clarke, Ninyette, Parker, Schlensog, Signorello, plus some other prospective ins. Recruiting going to plan and it seems that the plan is coming together. Still pending confirmation of some signings plus clearances. It does appear that we will have greater depth than we have had for quite some time.
Looks like 3 x 10 pointers plus. Hope we get all he sums right. We don't want to be going down the same track as the Sharks and the Bulldogs.
Overall, at this early stage, there are very good signs for 2024.
