I took a few pics and vids in case anyone is interested. My videoing skills are rubbish, but i figure it's better than nothing!

Was it just me or did it seem like we have picked up a few yards of pace?? The game was faster than i remember us last year. The team in the Wet Toast jumpers were most likely the B team with a few walk up starters included (eg Stack, Avery, Poole), but they were far from second-rate. Their pace and pressure on the ball carrier was impressive and i couldn't spot any obvious plodders. 

As mentioned in the other thread, Dellamarta and Jackson really stood out as classy ball winners. Barwick and Manzone were good too. Bryne looked a little rusty, but the pressure was always on him. Jack Poole was excellent in defence. He was clunking them left right and centre and will be very important to us.

I have to say that Dakota Baldwin-Wright, Kane Johnston and Christian Martin look to have improved since i last saw them. Of course it's easy to shine in an intra-club but DBW in particular seemed to be adding a contest all over the ground like i hadn't seem him do so much before. Avery was a bonus indeed, and Ewing was solid at the back too. 

Deng Yong didn't do too much and looked a bit lost. We'll see if he starts to gel a bit more with the team after a few scratchies.

I don't think Stack was out there though. New bloke Hubbard from EP was out there and looked a good size, Chapman Jones played for the gold team along with Brogan Henry.

Also heard Zac Hill has been spotted walking around Lathlain so probably still lives in the area. I wonder if he can be convinced to return.
