This is hard for me to say. I grew up idolising this great footballer, he is the reason I watched The Winners and followed North Melbourne and I cherished having his footy VFL footy card. But his name needs to be removed from the number 2 locker at the Perth Football Club.

Going to be interesting to see what the judges finding will be. Apparently the final ruling could take up to six months before a decision is known.

It was a civil case not a criminal case. What if the police decide to press with criminal charge, he fights them and wins? Either way personally I can look at his footy achievements separately from his life outside of that and I don't believe cancelling his name in the future off honor boards, locker rooms, etc achieves anything.
That comp being renamed is no big deal as hardly anyone would have known it was named after him anyway. 
Do you think everything Cable should be erased? re-write history etc ?

Why do you think Gary Ablett snr isn't in the AFL Hall of Fame? I don't think he was ever charged with anything. Cable gets to keep his records and achievements but honours like Hall of Fame, Legend status, name on a locker etc I don't think he deserves if he is guilty of these allegations from 5 different women who were young girls.
