Teams are in. No Hill or Quill named in the league or reserves again.
Not listed as injured. Have they left the club.

Looks like both Busher brothers failed to line up, so Martin and Hayward take their spot

Quite a reasonable effort given some our missing personnel. However, even saying that is a sad reflection of where we are at, given that 2 years back, we were the "sleeping giant." We average 70p a game. That is at least 20 points short of what we would need to win at least half of our games. There is a concerning trend of being unable to run games out. This season, as with every season in memory, we have boasted about how fit we are. So why do opposition teams wear us down with hard running over the course of a game? We can have patches where we play well, but we don't sustain it, and when we drop off, we get scored against heavily. We need to hope for a wet winter, as our best chance to win will come in low scoring games.

Agree totally Ted. Our best passages of play were excellent because we were running hard.
Sadly we could not sustain that hard running. Has been our problem for a long time. Also execution skill, generally, was sub-standard and scoring opportunities were wasted.
I am not sure that Chopper should play. Looked very much out of sorts IMO. His value is coaching. He should be in charge of midfield and/or forwards. Our line coaches are uninspiring.

The next director that tells me we are fitter than ever may well get a smack in the gob.
Then again it wouldn't be hard,
We haven't been fit for 40 odd years.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

We can only hope to be competitive in the next 4 weeks. We have the 4 power teams (albeit S have yet to fully fire so far), 3 of them away. So after 5 games against last year's lesser teams, 4 at home, we have 2 wins, and are 15% behind the 8th placed team. I expect to be well entrenched in second last by the half way mark.

Congrats to EF. Play a crazy brave brand of footy that’s entertaining to watch. Love coming through the corridor like good teams do. Going places. We matched them sometimes, but never for long enough.

Can someone explain to me why we seemed to defend kickins from the centre and concede the fkn first 70m of the ground?!?! EF delighted in just strolling out of our fwd line at will. Bizarre.

Massive second half from Byrner. Incredible effort. Simon Hayward was good as a crumbing fwd but didn’t hit the scoreboard enough. Will need everything to go right to be competitive against the ponzi scheme scammers this week.
