Anyway lets get it back on the footy hey? Just watched the game and midway through the 3rd qtr that Matt Rogers played a major hand in and kicks his second goal, Ken Judge says "going by the way Rogers celebrated that goal I'm guessing he might have been told he's not good enough to get a game at Perth". LOL

Hey Sacko, which 3 players are you happy are no longer at Perth? The 2 who booted 4 goals between them and played a major hand in Swans winning the game, the ruckman who's running around for Subiaco who is helping them turn their season around who was named in Subi's best in their upset win over the previously unbeaten Claremont and up against Mark Seaby and Mitch Andrews, or the other Subiaco player who is dominating week in week out in just about every stat???

McDougall is becoming a real good player for us & is getting better each week with the more match fitness he gains, will be a good combo with Sinclair when hes back from injury but hope not at the expense of young Madut who has a real crack but his disposal is ordinary. Jkt has probably been our best player all season...

I agree with you DG Dougs and JKT may well do very well for you and be good pick ups.

I think it best that they left, probably for diiferent reasons..

When a player changes clubs it is usually for a pretty good reason, maybe they don't fit in with the game style of their team, or there are too many of their particular type of player at a club or they have been typecast in a particular role that they want to escape from or it might be as simple as that they don't get on with some of the players and staff. It can be like a marriage that is breaking down, both partners are aware that its just not working any more and they have to move on to grow and develop. So what I have seen is that the four players who have left Perth have been presented with a new challenge and have all benefited to different extents from the changes. However I also think that Perth have benefited from making those tough calls in that they have been able to give opportunities to players who actually want to be there. So hopefully this parting will be a win/win for both the ex players and the club. I have seen Perth now twice this year and the differences in the way they play their footy now as opposed to the last 10 years or more are vast. They have a steel and fight about them that I haven't seen for a long time. I really don't see the point in dredging over stats for these ex Perth players because both JKT and the others as well as Perth have moved on and from a neutral observation both are better off for it..

Spot on Mikeh.

Part of the difference this year has been a change in culture. The change was driven by the club and has been embraced by the players that remain. It is now being driven by the players and with it has come a desire for success.

All players were interviewed at it would appear that it was best for some to leave.

As you rightly suggest some exciting new talent have been given opportunities.

I also think the injection of some hard working seniors with AFL experience has provided wonderful leadership e.g. Be an and Bateman.

Hopefully we can continue to change things at the Club.

Great post Mikeh. You have hit the nail on the head.
All parties have moved on. Stats are totally irrelavent to all except the few who have no constructive comments to make.

good win by Swans, was impressed with Perth and they move the ball pretty well but switched off and kept letting Swans back in the game.
the last 2 goals Swans got were easy goals into an open forward line.
Lammie wore down their rucks and Notte played a top game all over the ground, pity about the mark they didnt pay..
Roachy,Robbo and Elari ran hard all day, well done to Elari on 2 excellent goals at the end..Rogers in and out, 2 handy goals.
still lack a tall target, cant rely on Garlett's magic every week..
good to see Blight and Parry returning from injury in reserves, both can play when fit..Broad, Burnham and Lobb all looking promising..
realy missed Miles or Cass as an option on Bevan, Hams was too loose and Jetts had some injury and struggled to run..

I think a special mention should be given for Garlett's performance on Saturday. A far better commitment to the team's success on Saturday. Hopefully, he and the team can continue the improvement.

For BC's benefit all I will say about the umpiring is watch the replay and make up your own mind about the quality of the umpiring.

3 goals to Perth from free kicks that wernt there and the non-mark and push in the back to Notte is a 4 goal difference..
good to get the win in the end..
