Couldn't agree more BH and the one with Billings MK2 was a disgrace and the kick should of been going the other way in my opinion. Change of culture my arse, soft ride is more like it.

Anyone else enjoy the 4 goals kicked by the ex Jams. The little range at the end of the game was a nice touch as well I thought, he looked happy.

Anybody out there!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Had two mates and a couple of their friend attend their first WAFL game in a long while yesterday. All loved it and it did take some of the pain of the loss off my shoulders.

Watched the game on TV this morning and the commentators loved it as well.

I can't pinpoint where the game was lost. We hit the 18 point mark up range a couple of times and i often thought we would break Swans spirit if we could just get one from that point but it wasn't to be.

Bev can't keep kicking and average of 4 goals a game can he? Would like Ali Smith is back in a fortnight. I love having Tunbridge in the team. I think Bateman's hammies still look a little tight as he didn't bend down freely a couple of times. Poor old Ash Smith just looks half hearted all too often when watching him live, but watching his game on TV he actually does have good finishing skills and got plenty of the ball. Hat's off to White, Risol and Sketcher. Sinclair hopefully learnt something off Gartlett. Bush a better game. Kane second best in the ressies. Johnson - needs to improve.

Great crowd. Anyone who hasn't - get upstairs after and have a listen to the Presentations while enjoying a few drinks. It's often a good chance to have a quick chat to the players. And it's more money on the clubs bar.

See you in a fortnight.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Nice post TFAF .

Several times during the game Perth looked to have it sewn up, but Swans kicked four goals in five minutes during the third quarter to regain the lead, and then it was former Demon Aaron Elari who inspired the last quarter fight back with two goals before Garlett and Robinson sealed the deal.

:woohoo: :woohoo:

Swans nicked that one yesterday to be honest. It just felt like we were playing catch up footy for most of the afternoon, but credit to the boys they hung in there and stayed within striking distance going into the last 10 minutes. I thought Perth were in control of the game for most of it and had a couple of chances to put us away. Once in the 3rd quarter when they got out to 20 points. At that stage Perth were right on top and needed one more goal I reckon to blow it open. The other occasion was about half way through the last quarter when they were 15 points up and I thought they could have put some more players behind the ball to make it tougher for Swans at that stage.

For the Black Ducks this game was a massive improvement on the last few weeks, the boys seemed to be combining better as a team, and there was a lot more intensity in what our guys were doing. Fair to say that was one of the best games Wes has played, I thought his ruck work was great and he clearly outpointed the two Perth ruckman. The confidence returned to our midfield, Roach, Riggio, Elari, Twomey, Robinson and Hildebrandt all were prominent but Swans struggled a bit again when the ball was delivered into the forward 50. Luckily Garlett was brilliant up forward and he created some goals from nowhere. He is a real talent that lad and I’m sure the AFL clubs will be lining up to talk to him at the end of the year. Another guy I liked the look of is young Faulkner, 16 disposals and 4 kicks inside 50.

Perth were a little more precise than Swans when they went forward, Bevan was absolutely outstanding, it is fantastic for the WAFL to have players of his quality running around. The Demons could have done with another high scoring option up forward. Stack could have been that, however he kicked 2- 3. Mcinnes looked lively without really threatening. Tedesco and Dene White also caught my eye. Ash Smith was also pretty good I thought.
I noticed too that looking at the budget that Swans had a lot more games experience in their group than the Perth boys, including a number who played in the 2010 Grand Final so that may have been a factor in those last desperate moments as a few Perth players took risks and turned the ball over when they were still in the lead when they could have played a safer option (towards the boundary or locking the ball in their forward 50)

Overall an entertaining game, it keeps Swans well and truly in the hunt, but we need to put a string of wins together after the bye to stay in touch. I wouldn’t be too worried if I was a Perth fan, they are still playing some good footy, they just need to learn to really put the foot on the throat when they have an opposition team on the ropes. Their next 3 games after the bye are against East Perth, Peel and South Fremantle and I reckon Perth should win all of those if they continue to play the sort of footy that they have been displaying this season

I had to watch the game on tele and it was one of the best I've seen in recent years. Fast flowing with good skills and a decent crowd on the wing and in the bars.
Perth gave Garlett a few very easy goals by dropping absolute sitters in the backline. He just waited at the bottom and put them through.

I just watched the last 10 minutes on ABC i-view - spine tingling stuff. I thought I heard Harding saying something to either the Perth Supporters or coaches after the final siren, couldn't quite pick up what was said but it sounded like he wasn't saying well played chaps! The ABC commentator also mentioned it. Did anyone see what happened?
