I think we should play McInnes in the ruck, with support from someone like Langdon or Delahunty. With short quarters, I don't think we can afford a low possession ruckman like Eyres. I am struggling with the forward line. I'd have Stubbs at full forward - he's untested at this level, but he was recruited as a goal kicker, so we need to give him a chance. I think BJ or Burke as a second tall forward. The small pocket role is tough - I guess Bourne or Roe? Half forward I'd have Rogers on a flank and Deal at CHF. Don't know about the other flank. Backline seems ok: Hill, Giblett, Coinglio, Burke, Davis, Sinclair, Taylor, Fisher, Lague are all pretty capable.

Yes must play as a KPP forward.
Delahunty can play as that pinch hitting second ruckman/forward.

Dakota Baldwin-Wright showed promising signs in the second half of last season. When he went on the ball we started winning clearances. He is the future not Eyresy. I’m sick of this club holding great blokes up on a pedestal instead of putting effort into finding or developing blokes who have the potential to be a top ruckman.

For me Eyres doesn’t get a game with DBW, McInness, Delahunty and Langdon available. Even Gibba is good value as a pinch hitter but he is too valuable down back.

I put together a line up yesterday I’ll put up in a minute. Shared it with someone who pointed out I left out Stubbs who I completely forgot about so need to make an adjustment.

We haven't had a key forward with presence since Spinks in 1997.
I think we could have real structure with him forward.
I expect more goals from Rogers this year.

As an idea, with shortened quarters play 2 dads as the second ruckman off the bench.
Or even sillier in a forward pocket.
