He had back problems in the pre-season. Might be a reoccurrence of that.

Would that be any reason to drop him off our list Dazz? It seems to me that it must be a more serious long term problem for that action.

Well his number hasn't been reallocated so like Ted said about Carey who dropped out of sight whilst in rehab for this knee, his number wasn't reallocated so I suspect it's injury but I don't really know

Ted Nugent wrote: Can someone clear this up before we panic? Cary went off the team list when he was injured, now he's back on. It doesn't have to mean Byrne has left. It would seem strange if he had, given just a few weeks back he featured in one of the coronavirus training videos. Surely someone must know.

And Smokey, Byrne was injured v Subi, specifically a tackle by Delahunty.

Actually Ted, I think it was Wheeler.

If it’s injury related and they have taken him off the list, then it must be season ending before it’s even started. A real blow if he has left or is injured. It weakens the midfield even further after the loss of Jones. Hopefully Masten and Gray can have big seasons.

It was indeed Wheeler who then got chaired off in his 150th.

Yeah, the circumstances of that injury really shat me off.

That and the giggle fits and bum taps $ had with the umps as they were walking off.

If it is season ending then that is a huge blow for Corey following on from the shoulder last season.
Huge for the club as well. We should still have a good midfield with Masten, Murphy, Grey, Yeo, Payne, Peletier, Edmonds, Bourne, Davis etc, and I would not be surprised to see Bryan on a wing instead of halfback.
Still 6 weeks before round one so a lot of water under the bridge until then.

All our recruits will play for us this year.
Can't say that about a Team coached by a so called guru.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Unlike the "guru" with his three piece spoon set DF...anyway as 58 says, Perth must be a sure thing for a finals spot this year....let's hope you guys can go deep, the comp needs a shake up and breath of fresh air TBH....been same same for far too long....time for clubs like Perth and EF to stand up and deliver.
