What do people make of the actions of Collingwood during the recent trade period where they traded 4 players, 3 of whom would be in their best 22 and really got very little in return relating to draft picks?
The only thing that I can think of is their salary cap pressure led them to make these decisions and for example signing Treloar to a 5 year contract has come back to bite them on the bum.
The players deserve better though than being given some half arsed reason for trading them as it appears has happened. Maybe there needs to be some change at the top. Eddie has now been president for over 20 years and maybe Buckley has had his time as well. Someone needs to be accountable for this mess.

Getting Dayne Beams back in the nest turned out to be a disaster for them.

for almost as long as I've been following footy , this arse clown of a club has been destroying players via ridiculous poaching & payments to them
Well remember the raids on other clubs during the 70's & 80's that brought the league to it's knees and manacled the rest of the country into this fraud of a national league that isn't anywhere close to a national league
that idiot McLaughlan should have made these bastards honour their under the table contracts and prevented draft access in the meantime

Watching last night there were times when there were Eddiewood players who looked disinterested. Da Gooy looked fat and simply did nothing that befits his sooper star status. Worriesome times for figjam

What about when Treloar took an uncontested mark out on the wing late in the game and got a standing rousing ovation from the Collingwood supporters? And he was also warmly embraced by every Collingwood player after the game.

The Treloar reception was notable in its warmth but for one, Pendlebury did seem, to me, offer much in the way of mateship at the end of the game.
