Yep, I saw him play.

All from memory - shortish, tough as nails, blond hair, centreman. He was a pretty good old fashioned footballer.

I remember Kevin Clune was the SD Reserves coach & Toddy's assistant during our great era of the early 1980s.

Toddy named him as one of his toughest opponents. A key member of the 64 premiership side and a passionate and regular supporter over the years. A really popular man around the club. Tiger Royalty, farewell Cluney.

I remember him at SD, and his son, Paul at Subi; my grand dad always talked of him as well, being a CL man-- RIP

Paul Clune followed his old man to SD after starting at Subi AR but he probably picked the wrong time to try his luck at Basso during our hat-trick era and I think he was beset with injury at the time as well.

bH: definitely, definitely -- Did he play colts for CL? I have often wondered how he ended up at the Lions.
