I have picked the strongest side possible for the tigers. Marshall was ratted the best player from WA by Barassi. He gets 10 votes made up of the following: games played; a fairest and best and his no less than 8 state games for Victoria. For the record he represented the black and gold sixteen times. This also explains the great Graham Moss' high tally, together with his Brownlow win which I gave him 1 point.

Barry Beecroft was a Victorian who had already played for South Melbourne when he came to Tigerland.

All Eagles players have been left out --on the Subi side as well -- unless they also played for a Victorian club.

If you take Hepburn out and replace him with David O'Connell you would be weakening the team by 1 point.

McIntosh would be a good addition to the side -- he is worth (2) as he played 50 games and a state game for Victoria.

Mcintosh was a Brownlow runner up despite missing four or five games one year.
Ben Allan was an F and B winner in Hawthorns 91 premiership side so would score extra points after the 90s.

Guy McKenna won WCE F&B in 1989 as well, Pyke in 1994 (tied with Glen Jakovich) also a WCE Premiership year.

TOO: it is a great side, I agree. The club has made a magnificent contribution to the VFL competition throughout its history. Yep, you can have extra points for Ben Allen. I might have missed counted George Moloney, too , his exploits could easily be worth another point.
