Had a look at the redevelopment of Claremont oval while at the showgrounds on Sat. Looks like very slow going. The oval looks very neglected too. No sign of any work on the club rooms. A very poor return for what will be 3 years in October. I don't reckon they will be in before season 2019 at this rate. Certainly not before 2018. I hope Lathlain's redevelopment doesn't put Perth on the outer for this long!

Any update from Tiger of Old or other Claremont fans on what is happening here? Went past on the train the other day and it looked like the construction of grandstand is still being finished off. Looked pretty impressive though.

Has there been any update from the club as to whether the ground will be ready for the first scheduled game there? (April 15th). Still 2 months away I guess so plenty of time.

Still looks to be a substantial amount of work to be completed in the next 2 months. The club will also need enough time to fit out the facility with their own equipment after handover and also get council approvals to serve food and RGL to sign off on their liquor licence prior to the first game.

As pointed out the oval looks in pretty average condition with most of the western wing needing to be returfed.

Thanks for that Tiger Tales, looks like this will be the best facility in the WAFL when complete. Hopefully they can get the turf up to standard by the start of season.

I drove past and had a look a few weeks ago- i to, reckon they'll be lucky to get games in til the end of the season. Looks like a lot to do still

The club is still telling members everything is on track for Easter Saturday April 15 opening against South. Will still be very much a building site but ya get that with the big jobs
