Be interesting to see how this bloke goes this year now that he is out of east Perth. Prendergast medalists traditionally are the sort of players who are very good at reserves level and just ok at league level or not quite good enough. There probably is a few exceptions to that rule with gus seebeck coming to mind who won a sandover Also.
But in the current wafl landscape any prendergasts that come from east Perth or peel purple are a different kettle of fish from previous eras.

New landscape now. Cannt really compare past medalists. The kid was not allowed to play because WCE players and WCE rules come first at EP

Once again never let the facts get in the way of your usual dribble.

Tom did play league and played ok in each game but not at a level that would see him get a regular berth.

At Claremont he maybe further up the assessment chart and that will get him a berth more regularly. He was frustrated but he gave the club the chance and has now sort a better chance at another club. He also came out of a colts group that was stronger than previous years so was competing against 4 or 5 other players in similar positions.

Hopefully he will do well and is more likely to do so compared to others who have bailed for 'not getting a chance' reason.

Have to agree with you grump. He had a great year in the ressies but only ok in his 4 league games. The old half glass full/half glass empty scenario. Some will say the alignment cost him games but in the end younger colts in Hille and Omodei
got games in front of him towards the end of the year.Needed to step up a gear. Just because you go to a non aligned club doesn't guarentee you a game. Look at Steve Wityk played two games at swans after three at the royals the year before.Chris franklin played 3 games at the royals pre alignment and spent all last year in joondys reserve team.

It may be dribble to but at the end of the day Thomas is an honourable young man who understood is role and place in the clubs playing list, he didn't bail at the first sign of things not going his way, he knows how good a footballer he is unlike the inflated opinion of some who have left or their parents tell them and he like Steve Wityk will do well given their opportunity again unlike some who when dropped develop a case of mediterranean back!

I watched Wityk in reserves closely last year Grump after meeting his father at one match. Has some quality about him, needs to fix up some careless turnovers and can play league in future.

I realise this a Tiggers thread so will keep it short, he is a good young man, his mum and dad are first rate and he will be a b+ or A- footballers if left at FF and asked to do that job, just my thoughts.
