Freezin: thanks; if Old Easts make it they will have deserved it. Yes, i think Malaxos could do with making the four. As I said above, EF should make it by a game plus percentage -- actually a pretty big margin. I agree with all your comments about Claremont for next year. Equally, I am hoping all clubs improve to take it up to EP a wee bit more.

If the "outs" this week are anything to go on Subi should win . Out Hamp, Foster & Orzel. Thought Orzel played well last week, must be injured, Foster was down last game and Hamp is hot & cold.

Still mathematically possible although they could have done with a bigger win, now they will have to flog West Perth at the Showgrounds by around 80 points which will bring their percentage up close to 90 and hope that Swans beat the Sharks by 6 or 7 goals. Then if this all happens there would be the challenge of East Perth the week after....Maybe not

great win by Cl v Subi.....still pushing hard for a finals spot.....not too sure on current form either SD or EF could win a game by 6 - 7 goals Mikeh....definitely could lose one though by that margin I reckon LOL

Can see most of that happening. They should demish West Perth this week and getting more confident they will beat East Perth in the final game, especially if finals are on the line.

Problem is I can't see Swans beating or even getting close to East Fremantle in the battle for a home semi final. They seem cooked.

Only side we can replace is EF.
We're 2 games and i think roughly 15% behind them.
CL play WP & EP, EP the only side we've not beaten this year.
EF play SD & S, in theory a harder run, but they only need to win one or draw one. Good challenge for EF if they are a real threat for the GF in playing those two sides.
After mid season heart to heart with some players, all seems to have turned around for Cl. Good move to get Broadbridge. Some good signs, Starcevich did well in his 1st game and plenty of talent coming through, most of us thought the worst after the 1st two games. Add Maister and Richo next year.

JB, there are sides in the top 4 including the one I support who would be very nervous about Claremont sneaking into 4th spot. In my view they are the 2nd best team in the competition at the moment only behind the Eagles juggernaut.

mikeh: Claremont are over-rated Subiaco had more shots at goal and could have easily won the game. The Monts are fifth, will stay fifth and end the season in fifth; they are a modern day SD of 1979. Naturally, old son, next year will see them play properly for a season and take it right up to the Eagles.

I am actually hopeful of these sides all giving the Eagles a game next year:

You Claremont blokes need to do everything you can to make sure Seaby plays on next year. He is the form ruckman of the comp and gives your band of quality mids an armchair ride. I think he will be pivotal to your finals aspirations next year along with the return of Richardson who is always good for 3 or 4 goals a game.

Senior, you're spot on. Offer to name the new stand after him to entice him to play on.
It's obvious the turn around for CL was Broadbridge deciding to play him in the ruck as opposed to the first half where he spent a fair bit of game time in the forward line, mainly due to the unknown quality of McGovern & Abbott. With forwards kicking goals it allowed him the luxury.
Arkroyal, we've played you 3 times, beaten you twice. At this point EP are the only side we're yet to beat. Can't see EF losing two games, one maybe, surely they'd be hungry enough given a finals berth is on the line.
I hope the WAFC tossers see the light and allow the G7 teams an increase in their salary caps, look at what EP did to P, 28 goals I think they kicked against them.
With Richo and Beau Maister returning, and whispers of a few others, 2015 could see CL take it up to EP.
