Well I have to eat my words because I thought Claremont would bounce back on their home ground this afternoon, but they were given no chance by an East Perth team that were nothing short of awesome. They played a lot better than they did against Swans last week and every time that the Tigers challenged, the Royals responded. The end of a great era for Claremont and also the last games for David Crawford, probably Paul Medhurst and Chad Jones and maybe some others as well.

The WAFL have got a promoters dream next week and surely we will get 25000 plus at a Perth derby Grand Final.

It will be very sad if Wulff gets rubbed out for a game he has probably been playing his whole career for, but I have to say looking at a replay of the incident that it didn't look good.

East Perth played extremely well today but Claremont were insipid. I'm not sure that EP did play better this week, it was just that they were challenged for 3 quarters last week before they managed to assert their superiority.
I'm tipping that East Perth will be too strong for West Perth next week. They just look to have the better tam in so many positions and now seem to be playing for each other.

You may be right, however history is well and truly on West Perth's side. They have had a weeks break and the last time that a team who finished 4th in a home and away season won the premiership was 1964!!

Well done to the Colts on their win and David Crawford's 200th game. The old stand will be gone in a couple of weeks.....the end of an era in more ways than one.

Insipid is harsh. I thought they had a crack but EP responded each time and then once the result was beyond doubt it's not surprising there wasn't much fight left in them. East Perth's footy the last two weeks has been outstanding

Ironically if Claremont had shown any of the determination they put up in the first quarter today during the semi final, they would've gone straight into the Grand Final.

Goes from bad to worse if Townsend is to be believed.....apparently Webb might be heading to West Coast.
