Revo fitness have extended their naming rights agreement for another seven years. Every WAFL club needs this type of sponsorship. Well done Claremont.

Are we going to see another block of flats at the railway end of Footrot Flats Park next season?

Well done to Claremont, long term sponsorship support is critical to a clubs success. Subi had that for decades with the Western Underwriters sponsorship. East Perth survived for years off Bronte's AHG sponsorship, Swans with the mining industry sponsorship and of course Joondy have the WA tax payers sponsorship. ;-)

Great Business and I use the Claremont Oval Gym weekly, Revo owned by Andrew Holder only in his 30s, has boomed with it low cost multi gym business model, only thing is Claremont get packed with the CCG and Scotch 14 year olds most afternoons.

So what is the go with Claremont's alleged revenue streams? Do they own all or part of their facilities? Can't see how that is possible since they were on their knees financially not so long ago. No club can afford to own their own facilities off their own cash. SF were smart enough to pull it off many years ago probably when the value was a lot less. Unique situation where they are in the heart of Fremantle.

These new developments cost well in excess of 10 million dollars, Perth's new facility is going to cost over 20 million and that's just knocking down the old one and building the new. No ripping up the oval and outer that's already been done, no new lighting, already been done. No new scoreboard already been done.

These things are funded by government grants and local councils so how does Claremont have control over these tax payer and rate payer funded assets?

Are we going to end up with another $ubi situation where one club has a massive financial advantage over the rest of the competition in the decades to come?

Claremont handed over all that land to LandCorp (state government) for property development which taxpayers would have got a return on, in exchange for the building of our new facilities which we are doing very well financially from. There's nothing to stop other clubs doing the same.
