I see Waterman kicked 4 for Essendon in a scratchie against Carlton ٫ with Essendon having potentially 3 spots left on their list i am very doubtful about us having him in our forward line this year ٫ the Essendon coaches will have noticed his cannon of a left boot٫ like his fathers.

Agree Too, he was the best forward going around last year imho. It's a lot of goals you guys need to find if he goes to the Bombers.

In my ladder prediction, I had C 3rd, but to fall to 5th if they lost Waterman. I don't see where the goals are going to come from. And before C fans start the "what about your mob" style of argument, I have readily acknowledged that Perth face the same problem having lost McDonald and now Loersch. But as well as likely losing Waterman, C have lost Goddard and Nyhuis, and I'm not confident the ins come close the replacing players of that calibre. Perhaps C fans disagree?

Totally agree TN, he is our most valuable player imo and weakens us severely if we lose him.
What really sucks (for all wafl clubs) is this March draft bullshit. How hard is it for coaches and club recruiting staff that they can lose a key cog in the game plan a few weeks out from the start of the season. I've got no problem with losing players to the AFL that is how the system works nowadays but it's just unnecessary this late in the season.

I couldn't agree more, TOO, the whole thing is a crock. C wouldn't have been out looking for a key forward in the off season because you would have thought, justifiably, that you would have one of the best forwards in the WAFL. Key forwards are hard to recruit at the best of times, but virtually impossible at this time of year. Good luck to Waterman, and other players who get drafted, but WAFL clubs need to be able to plan and late drafts and pre-season drafts make that difficult.

In this case he is a mature aged player and he deserves his second chance, just a pity Fremantle or WC didn't take him. What I don't like is taking 18 year olds as insurance in the hope they steal one before next years draft like St Kilda did with Jack Mayo from Subi last year. The kid was never going to get a game, does his ACL then hands him back to Subi. Subiaco should go St Kilda for compensation. Can possibly see the same thing happening to Jayden Hunter at the Demons. He has the potential to have a similar impact to what Logan McDonald had last year.

Apparently the Bombers have signed Waterman to their main list after he kicked 4 in a scrachie. No surprise, good luck to him, but hard on the Tiges losing one of their best players this late in the pre-season. Blood sucking AFL strikes again.

We know all about that SS after losing Deluca mid season when he was on track to win a Sandover.

And also taking Mayo, he does a knee under their watch and then gets dumped, so they can palm off the re-hab time & costs to a WAFL club.
