Another Big Week of footy is upon us.
Mosman Park bounced back after being demolished the week prior, elder statesman Steve Wilby snagged 7 to kick away from Jandakot. Melville survived an early scare from an impressive Ballajura but were able to flex some muscles and kick away in the last half. Kalamunda vs basso went as predicted, Jackson Bowen of Kalamunda finally regained some of his 2024 form kicking 5 goals and was well supported by young gun Ashton Mcgowan kicking 4. Ever reliable Bailey Smith threw Thornlie on his shoulders to come away with a 33-point win. Hammersley Carine were again in another tight encounter but weren't able to walk away with any points losing by 2 to Kwinana in the deep south.

Round 5.
Jandakot vs Hammersley Carine, Atwell oval.
Operation Shut Down Max Dennis should be the top of the agenda this week for Jandakot. Kwinana were able to keep the mid-sized forward quiet in round 4 with only one goal on the board against Kwinana resulting in a loss. Hammersley with their experience will come away with a 4-goal win.

Gosnells vs Kwinana, Gosnells Rec.
2024 C2 Grand final Rematch will bring some feisty antics. Kwinana have put themselves in a great position so far in the new grade with only one loss to ladder leaders Kalamunda away at Ray Owen reserve, from experience playing Kalamunda up in the hills is the hardest place to get a win. Gosnells haven't fared this year as well this year with only a singular win at home against Ballajura and sizeable defeats to stronger teams. Kwinana to continue on the narrow margin win streaks to win by a goal.

Bassendean vs Thornlie, Jubilee reserve.
Will keep it short and sweet with Thornlie to finally hit the triple digits this weekend. 10 goal wins to Thornlie.

Melville vs Kalamunda, Melville reserve
GOTR. It doesn't get much better than this. Two genuinely elite teams with big aspirations to play finals, win a flag and earn promotion back to B grade. The challenging team will walk into the stock road paddock with ladder leading bravado and will be briming with confidence. A colt's team that boasts an undefeated 4-0 record with a percentage of 476, the lunch time legends have a 4-0 record and a percentage of 1073, and a Ones team that also is undefeated with a percentage of 321 they will be looking to come away with three wins. Whilst it has been an impressive start for the Cougs across all grades, having their first away game at an oval that is a polar opposite to their home deck will be a challenge. Melville has managed to go undefeated so far with three games away and an absolute belting of Mosman. Will be an absolute war between these two, both teams have strong midfields, quality forwards and are well drilled defensively. This could go either way but will tip Melville to fire early and give Kalamunda their first loss of the year by 2 goals.

Mosman Park Vs Ballajura, Tom Perrott.
Mosman Park is a very difficult team to get a read of so far. They have managed 3 big wins with scores above 90 but a major 108-point loss to Melville is concerning. Ballajura on the hand have stumbled so far this year, granted they have only played the one home game. They have tried to play a very negating style of football so far with equalising and playing man on man football being their bread and butter. If they can Jag a few away wins in the first part of the season, playing 6/9 home games in the second half of the season should see them scrape into the 5th spot for finals.
