Anzac Round was an absolute pearler of a weekend in the C1 competition. Kwinana honouring the special weekend of football with a 1-point Friday night win over an improved Jandakot.  Kalamunda belted Gozzy by an impressive 87 points to remain undefeated. In the battle of the B grade relegated sides Ballajura came out with a comfortable 6 goal win. Melville was very impressive with a 108-point win against the undefeated Mosman Park and remain in top spot. To finish off the round an inaccurate Thornlie drew with Hammersley at the wide-open plains of Carine Open Space.

Round 4.
Jandakot vs Mosman Park, Atwell Reserve.
After a tough loss on the Friday by a point in their best outing for the year. Jandakot have only managed 50 points total in the first two rounds, a 71 point outing in a one point lost is an improvement we like to see here at OZfooty. In the early game of the round, they host Mosman Park who will have been very flat after being belted by a strong Melville side. Will tip Jandakot to finally get a win on the board at home by 2 goals.

Ballajura vs Melville, Kingfisher Park.
Ballajura make their 2025 return to the "Fishbowl" to host the red-hot Rams. Ballajura have had a slight stumbling out of the gate with 2 losses and a win against Bassendean, they would be hoping that they can return to their premiership winning form of 2023. On the flipside of this match, we have the undefeated ladder leader in Melville fresh off of a 108-point mauling of the mosquitos. With 2 forwards kicking 6 goals and 5 goals respectively and 9 goal players hitting the score scoreboard they have a front half firepower that no one has been able to match as of yet. Defensively they haven't had a team score over 50 points either. Fine form so far. Melville by 6 goals.

Kalamunda vs Bassendean, Ray Owen.
Also, in fine form this year is Kalamunda, a hot start is vital for the Cougs this year who will play Majority of the first half of the season at home.  Defensively they have been the best team only allowing an average of 33 points per game so far. Bassendean will need to bring their absolute best to be able score over 33 points at Ray Owen. Kalamunda by 10 goals plus. and will pop back up to first.

Thornlie vs Gosnells, Thornlie Reserve.
A well defeated Gosnells and an Inaccurate Thornlie do battle in what will be a very fiery and heated contest. Thornlie have a very experienced lineup that should see them get another win at home by 4 goals.

Kwinana vs Hammersley, Medina Oval.
The boys from Hammersley will undertake one of the longest journeys for the year making the journey down to Medina oval to face the Knights. Both teams have been belted by Kalamunda, Kwinana have defeated Thornlie whereas Hammersley drew, Kwinana to post a 3 goal win in a tight one.

Sorry for missing the last round Homer, the long weekend caught me off guard.

Love the detail of your write ups.

i too see Jandakot getting their first win of the season over Mosman. Interesting that we are both picking a 0-3 team to beat Mosman but I guess that’s what the season is throwing at us.

Melville will have a big win over ballajura who don’t seem to be what they once were.

Kalamunda will also have a big win over bassendean. (Can’t wait for the Melville v Kalamunda game next week)

thornlie will have gosnells sorted out by a few goals.

Im going to go Hamersley over Kwinana at this stage. Back down at Kwinana but I feel like Hamersley form has shown enough to get the choccies here.

all the best to all this week
