Well, the first of 2 competition wide bye weekends is now complete. 5 rounds of solid footy before the next by should see the ladder start taking some shape.

Kwinana vs Jandakot Medina oval.
Friday night footy under lights at Kwinana oval on Anzac Day. Great to see these two clubs hosting what should be a great event. Kwinana were the major Suprise package, improving on their round 1 performance of 0/3 wins across the men's grades, to 3/3 wins in round 2. Jandakot seem to have stumbled out the gates this year with only 6 goals across two games so far. Kwinana by 5 goals under lights.

Kalamunda vs Gosnells Ray Owen Reserve.
Kalamunda have continued on the back of their 2024 performances and are banking wins against good teams. 3rd home game in a row for Kalamunda with another to follow next week. Win these all 4 and I can't see them dropping out of the finals hunt. Gosnells have shown that they are able to get over the line with an impressive performance over Balla. Kalamunda by 6 goals.
Bassendean vs Ballajura Jubilee reserve.
Has been a very slow start for both of the relegated teams from B grade. Hopefully we can see some improvement over the upcoming weeks. Ballajura by 4 goals.

Melville vs Mosman Park Melville reserve.
2 undefeated teams battle it out in round 3 in this week's game of the round. Melville now return to the Auskick sized oval of Melville reserve after a year away at Troy Park. Two High scoring teams with quality defence will ensure this is going to be a battle. Mossie have shown they can kick well over 10 goals which is important here in C1 footy. Melville by 3 goals at home.

Hammersley vs Thornlie Carine open space.
Two teams who finished 5th and 6th last year and only split by two ladder points and a near identical percentage. Strangely Thornlie won at Carine open space and Hammersley won when playing at Thornlie in two tight affairs last year. Every shot at goal will count in a very tight contest. Will tip the older legs of Hammersley Carine to benefit from a week off and get a 1 goal win at home.
