We have had a wet weather finals series and now it looks like to open up just nicely in time for Saturday. Unfortunately the old Claremont oval not the best drainage and from what I saw last Sunday the Tigers and sharks ripped it up some more. C2 has been a funny odd one with plenty of ladder leaders but Kwinana holding the top for most of the season. Gossy were consistent and definitely went through their dark patches but showed up and got the job done when it mattered. Well done to both clubs on the move up to c1. Might be a first time for Kwinana but Gossy are know strangers to c1 action.
Colts.. . . Piara Waters v Quinn’s, probably the strongest two in the colts competition and both deserve to there on Saturday. Piara’s first colts team looking to make history and win the big one undefeated. Quinn’s just missing out last year have made a big improvement and shows that Quinn’s football club as a big future with these kids.Piara to win
Ressies.. . . Willetton v Ellenbrook., well wow, if you had asked me at the start of the season who’d be in the grandy for ressies I definitely wouldn’t have said these two. Willo just missed out last year while the eels came from c3. I guess towards the end of the season it was a matter of who could qualify the most players as both league sides were missing out.Willo to win
Gosnells v Kwinana. . .. the big stage is set. Well done to TH for winning the best n fairest, I’d imagine Kwinana will put some work and pressure into him to stop his run and carry. I feel like Kwinana have already done the work and use the same game plan in the semi final. I just want Gossy to stay disciplined. Nothing silly, they need to just keep chipping away and be smart. I feel like both teams are evenly matched. Yarran down forward will need to pull his finger out and not throw his hands in the air every time something doesn’t go his way. Steele will be important for Kwinana as will there small forwards also on the slippery Claremont surface.Gossy by 7 points.
Good luck everyone.
