TOPIC:

First of all… A big massive congratulations to Beach and Forrestdale. Having both senior teams in the grand final. Not very often you see this and it’s a credit to both clubs. Obviously great depth and have set high standards all season. Should be a great showing from both sides this weekend. 

 Colts. Lynwood v Coolbinia. . Big question now is that can Lynwood finish their fairy tale season with an undefeated grand final victory. The pressure will be on these young boys shoulders as they now become the hunted against Coolbinia. The last encounter was close. I know Lynwood have put a lot of time and effort into their junior program and will hopefully get rewarded come Saturday. Lynwood to win.

 Ressies. . . . . Beach v Forrestdale. . Beach will be looking to go back to back in c3 ressies. Forrestdale have come up from c4 and have really stepped up to challenge. The beach boys undefeated with a draw on the side will be wanting to finish off their season strong. Will Forrestdale spoil the party. Beach to win.

 League. Forrestdale have come from c4 and have really made their mark in this c3 competition. I think a lot of clubs expected them to be easy beats and really underestimated them. Beach have the depth, they are a quality club with some serious talent in their A grade side. They can afford to push back players that know how to play. These players stepped up last week in the second half and took the game on their own shoulders.  I think Forrestdale will make up for lost ground after last year and get up. Forrestdale by 9 points

I went along to this one KTB .... saw the end of the colts where it was all one way traffic for Lynwood in the second half. One of their players is deadset dumb as dog sh!t getting a yellow and really needs to pull his head in. Well done to those guys on an undefeated season.

The reserves and league between the 2 clubs was an absolute ripper. NB kicked 2-3 early in the third to create a gap that was to be the end result of 13 points. A standard you'd expect for C3R with the skills not quite there but the endeavour was through the roof. Only the one scuffle just before half time was the only blemish on this game as they went toe to toe all game and Forrestdale had a ton of the ball inside 50 in the last quarter but NB backs took 5-6 intercept marks to hold them off.

It was to be the reverse in the league with NB having all the play in the last quarter but took too long to finally hit the board. Forrestdale had got themselves out to a handy 7 point lead halfway through the last and repelled 5-6 attacks before NB finally got one through to make it just a solitary point but only 60 seconds left on the clock meant they didn't get a chance to win it.

The only blemish was a red to a NB player in the 2nd which will see him on the sidelines for a month. Late, high, deliberate .... i would think a fair few weeks if not a month. It was very ordinary to say the least and with a 3 umpire system in place, 2 of them saw it.

Half time in the stands fired up with a few people from both sides having a few words to say. Rope was put up and I thought I was at a celtics vs rangers game hahaha. The crowd settled down and started supporting football which was awesome. The idiot from Forrestdale at the end of the game needs a bullet. Has the IQ of a double plugger thong I would think.

All in all 3 good games of football with NB and Forrestdale splitting it 1 a piece and the Lynwood pups cruising in the second half.

Thanks Viper, sounds like it was a great day out at old Wyong with a few interesting people along the way. I also got told about the hit from the NB player and Forrestdale actually held it together well not to remonstrate to much. Not sure if finals will be played here next year as possibly the city of canning look to upgrade the old facilities.

It was out at Wanneroo showgrounds and yes they did well for it to not turn in to an all in brawl.

What's wrong with the current set up, given all sides are promoted or relegated on their own performances regardless of whether they are a a Clubs league team or Third senior side...a few lower grade clubs getting their nose out of joint when their League and Ressies sides are getting beaten by other clubs 3s and 4s?

North Beach thirds are now in C2 due to making Grand Finals ... both of their teams made the C3 Grand final. How is it not working when a teams thirds are good enough to play C2/3 football? It was also by 1 solitary point not a 100 point flogging. This tells me the 2 best teams in C3 played off.

Would you prefer one teams thirds belts another teams thirds by 100 point in an uncompetitive J league? Trinity 4th or 5th's beat Armadale in the E1 grade and that was their league team.

Agree with you Viper. It took a while but they finally came to their senses. Trinity's 3rd and 4th played in C4/C4R and the 5ths played in E1. Interesting to see how fixturing is done for 2025 with Maddington dropping out of C4 and Nollamara out PFL.

quite a few said it wouldn't work but now we're a few years in I think its great. I can't see them making C1 and C2/C3 will be about the highest and they will go up and down through those grades.

I thought it was their 5th's. I heard after that E1 GF that things got a bit ugly and the celebrations actually got called off because of it.

so only 1 down will happen for C4 but still 2 up. That will maintain the 10. Not sure what grade Nolla were in. The 1 down 2 up happens every year in a few grades.
