Just 2 rounds to go and my call on the top 5 was correct with the top 5 all locked in with positions up for grabs still. effectively I think its just 3 in the relegation area with Belmont having an upset win against Kingsley on the weekend. They could still hit bottom 2 as they have the worst % but unlikely. Valley were 1 point down at 3/4 time and capitulated when they had a chance to stay in C2. Willetton against an in form Gosnells didn't have enough fire power and The Knights way too strong for The Eels. I think The Knights are the team to beat at the moment and are on their way to C1.

Valley Vs Bulls - Valley have had the edge over The Bulls in the last few years for whatever reason giving them a fair shellacking in round 8. Bulls need a win to seal the home final and by a fair margin after Kingsley opened the door for them. I'm going my home team by 4 goals in their final home game of the year

Cats Vs Cobra's - Not sure what happened with Kingsley on the weekend but have a couple weeks to fix it or it will be an early finals exit for them and they have gone from a potential 3rd spot or hosting a home final to 5th. I think they'll perk up this week and get themselves back up to 4th by 6 goals.

Hawks Vs Bombers - The Hawks have a couple play makers that without them really will struggle but if they're on there is no stopping them. They'll get targeted in finals games and need to keep their heads. Bombers will do their best to get under their skin this weekend but lack the firepower The Hawks have. Hawks at home by 6 goals.

Eels Vs Falcons - 4 red cards is my mail to The Falcons on the weekend for all sorts (1 to Quinns) will see their depth tested depending on who those players are. Seems a pretty hectic game against The Bulls. Eels fell a couple goals short last time with some undisciplined stuff late and will be keen to make amends on their home deck. I'm going eels by 3 goals.

Blues Vs Knights - this is going to be 1 way traffic and The Knights are sharpening those swords at the moment. Knights to unleash by a lot.

Good luck all and enjoy the frothies

There we have it…. Top five is set. With only two rounds remaining only thing left is to decide on final placings. Lots could happen these last two weeks so I’m sure everyone will be keeping a close eye.

Quinn’s had a lucky last quarter last week with some 50/50 decisions going their way for their win over Piara. The valley boys are not laying down quite and definitely not leaving c2 without a fight. Quinn’s by 15 points

Kingsley simply couldn’t put Belmont away last week every time they seemed to get momentum the Belmont boys did it one better. Kingsley back at home against cobras who had a good win makes this game more interesting and I don’t  think it will be an all one way affair. Kingsley looking to get a solid one for a home final.Kingsley by 6 goals

Gossy starting to find their feet at the pointy end of the season and Belmont are showing they are c2 worthy. Last time these two met Belmont got on top, can they repeat and keep the Gossy locals under the tin shed quiet?Gossy by 6 goals

Another big road trip for Piara and it’s not an easy task out In Ellenbrook. The eels got pulled to pieces last week and are looking to cause an upset.  Piara needs to win if they want to stay in the top three.Piara by 10 points

Looks like willo will face the double drop and land in c3 next year. But there ressies and colts will play finals so plenty to work with and bounce back next year. Iv herd a few of there players have gone on holiday early. Kwinana are in great form and definitely one of the favourites for the flag in c2. Kwinana by 8 goals

 Good luck everyone

Seems a rather uneventful round in the scheme of things with all the top teams winning. I didn't realise but it was top 5 vs bottom 5 and the top 5 all won.

Bulls by 32 over Valley
Cats by 8 over Cobra's
Hawks by 46 over Bombers
Falcons by 55 over Eels
Knights by 35 over Blues
