It doesn't feel like 18 weeks have passed but they have and anything that has happened until this point goes out the window! I've been involved in a team that got beaten by 100 points in the 2nd semi then won the big one 2 weeks later by 7 points so if you think you have one hand on the cup I can assure you, YOU DON'T! Congrats to Mossy with the minor premiership! Have been thereabouts for a number of years and have a big chance to go to C1 next weekend.

ELIMINATION FINAL - SWAN VALLEY OVAL
Ressies - 12.35PM
Gosnells Hawks Vs Secret Harbour Dockers - Only 2 wins separates 1st to 5th similar to the league and the downside here is that Gosnells have to split their staff across 2 grounds and their supporter base. Gossy knocked off top of the table Kingsley on the weekend which is a great lead up to this game and have won both games against the Dockers this year. The Dockers had a comfortable win over Kwinana for a nice tune up themselves. The oval is as big as the Hawks home ground so this won't be an issue for them and I think they'll take the cookies over The Dockers by 5 goals.

League - 2.30PM
Swan Valley Vs Piara Falcons - The Falcons have taken both games this year so will be brim full of confidence but Valley upset 2nd place Lakes on the weekend and won't want to bow out week 1. Piara had a real bad patch in the first half of the year barely winning a game but a few aquisitions turned their season around. Valley have had a solid year without reaching any great heights. They have pushed every team in the 5 so are a chance on their day like anyone else. I'm tipping Valley at home by 2 goals.

QUALIFYING FINAL - ANNING PARK
Ressies - 12.35pm
Mosman Park Vs Piara Falcons - Mossy have the luxury of the league team having a week off which will allow their bottom end league players to play for the ressies this week and help them get through. Piara, like Gosnells, have to split everything which is pretty painful for them. The league stopped allowing teams to change a few years ago but sometimes common sense has to prevail and swap the reserves around. It won't hurt any club by doing it and its neutral all round. Piara have won both games between these 2 but I'm tipping Mossy in to qualify for the 2nd semi by 10 points here.

League - 2.30pm
Cockburn Lakes Vs Gosnells Hawks - This is set to be a rip snorter with the winner getting a shot at Mossy! The Hawks only just got the chocolates over cellar dweller Kingsley while Cockburn played a top 5 team and lost by 3 points. A win is a win so The Hawks will take it but you'd want a better lead in to a final. Cockburn have come screaming in to contention the second half of the season while The Hawks are the hottest of hot and the coldest of cold some weeks. I'm going Cockburn by 8 points.

LKC - First Semi Final - James Miller Oval (not sure why they aren't following the C2 teams around)
Manning Vs Quinns District - I've seen Manning twice this year and they are a pretty even team with 1 or 2 elite players that can change a game. They played Valley on the weekend and there were 2 guys who didn't do much in the 1st so they were behind but they came in to their own after quarter time. If Quinns are any chance they need to ensure they win the clearance count and make the Manning outside mids accountable. Lose the clearances and they'll be on the wrong side of the ledger. Manning for me by 10 points.

Good luck all and enjoy the frothies!

Final round done and dusted as we move to the business end now. Nearly finished the season on an upset as Quinn’s threw everything at Mossy who finished in top spot. A real credit to all involved at that club as they have always been there abouts and really stepped up this year. ( just resurface your oval in the off season). We say farewell to Kingsley who go down two grades in two years, and potentially willo but we will wait to see what the PFL have planned for next year.

Lakes will host Gossy in the qualifying final. Lakes got up in rd 8 by 10 points and nothing could separate the two teams second time around ending in a draw. I feel as tho both are very evenly matched and I’m thinking a close one will play out. Gossy by 9 points

Valley will get the chance to claim an important win with home ground advantage after Piara picked up both wins during the regular season. Piara been here before and have played finals the past few years while I think this will be valleys first finals campaign in a long time.I think valley will have an edge over Piara and get home with a kick after the siren. Valley by 4 points

The ressies top 5 is very evenly matched. This finals series should be a good one.
We see piara take on Mossy in the qualifying final. With Piara holding them out on both occasions during the regular season. If Mossy win they get a home final the week after which they will definitely benefit from! Mossy by 15 points

Gossy ressies have come along way after finishing bottom last year! They face Harbour who unfortunately will have some traveling to do in there finals campaign.Gossy by 3 goals

I haven’t been in touch with the colts this season but Unlucky for willo finishing fifth and miss out of finals because of Harbour forfeited there colts side. Looking at the ladder the top five looked fairly close. I’m going with manning by 3 goals

 Good luck everyone

Valley played finals 2021. Won the elimination final against Mosman Park then travelled out to Kwinana for the 1st semi. Quarter time I don't think they had kicked a goal and ended up losing by 20 odd points in what was a freaking awesome game of football! Think I have the link somewhere.

Lakes with an 8 goal win over The Hawks
Falcons by 15 points over Valley. Valley kicked the first 5 of the game. Didn’t kick a goal after half time.

Mossy by 31 over The Falcons
Dockers by 28 over The Hawks

The Bulls by 36 over The Rippers

No goals after halftime??? Did the valley boys fall asleep or were Piara just more hungry?

I went out to the lakes and Gossy game, the first few minutes were interesting and very intense! Lakes took control and put a few between the big sticks before Gossy got one back before the siren. Second qtr pretty much the same and lakes went into the half 3 goals up. After halftime lakes put the game to bed and shut the game down the Gossy boys really dropped there heads, looked disinterested and gave away silly free kicks. The lakes coach really did his homework on Gossy, shut down there out side run, they were prepared to force stoppages and broke the lines when Gossy were all forward of the ball. Looks like lakes had a tag on the #1 for Gossy as he didn’t get much of it.

I think mostly we shut up shop .... poor execution, poor decisions. A few teams will be happy we're out given how much we had pushed every one or beat them.
