Well, Mossy are now the team to beat. Taken all before them so far and faced their toughest challenge on the weekend and came out winners to the tune of 19 points against Valley who let it slip with a poor 2nd quarter. So Mossy sitting pretty and also undefeated on top with Valley and Knights 2 games behind, Gossy, Lakes and Piara take up the next 3 spots but its a big percentage difference from Lakes to Piara so a big split in the table now from top 5 to bottom 5. Mossy face another test this week against an up and down Hawks and 5 playing 6 will be another great game this weekend.

Valley Vs Cats - Valley didn't blown off the park against Mossy and will rue the 2nd quarter while the Cats went down by 2 goals to Kwinana last weekend. Its ladies day at the Valley this weekend so they'll be in fine voice come the league game. I'm tipping Valley by 5 goals.

Blues Vs Dockers - This is going to be a ripping game and good test for the blues who won't want to lose touch with the 5 and a win keeps them 1 game away. A 5 goal loss to The Lakes on the weekend for Willetton while the Dockers, who haven't been great so far, went down by 9 points to Quinns who could argue they should have won by 10 goals. The Dockers will definitely fancy their chances here against a bottom 5 team. I'm tipping the Blues at home by 2 goals.

Hawks Vs Mossy - 1st Vs 4th here and the quotes will soon be, who can beat Mossy, if they get it done this week. A good win against Valley for Mossy while the Hawks went down to The Knights. One week they're hot and the next they're cold with the Hawks and they'll want to be more consistent if they want to challenge later in the year. I'm tipping Mosman by 4 goals.

Bulls Vs Knights - Bulls with their first win of the year now have to take on a tough Knights team who are going to challenge for a flag this year. Knights with a nice win over Gossy are red hot at the moment and this could get ugly. Always tough playing Quinns at the Bull ring but this one might be one sided and Knights by 6 goals for me.

Falcons Vs Lakes - GOTR - My tip for GOTR is 5th Vs 6th as so much to play for, for both teams. Piara with a nice win over Kingsley on the weekend will take some confidence but Lakes have shown they are definitely a top 5 team and both would really enjoy some breathing room. There's a 20% difference between the 2 and I'm tipping Lakes to continue on and cement their spot with a 3 goal win here.

Good luck all and enjoy the frothies

What a week in footy it has been. Quinn’s would of enjoyed the long drive home after that win against Harbour, Lakes once again found another gear to keep them going just nicely, Kwinana took out a big win against an undermanned Gossy, Mossy did enough to keep valley away, and Piara got back on the winners list with a win over Kingsley. This week is set to be another juicy one and the weather gods will be in our favour.

Piara v Lakes,  GOTR. well you could almost call it a mini derby, only 5 minutes down the road from each other. Two old WAFL team mates now face off as coaches makes this match even more exciting. Both were good last week but I’ll stick with Piara at home by 13 points.

Valley v Kingsley, well I’m sure valley would of worked on a few things this week to fine tune there four quarter efforts as for Kingsley, well they have a lot to work on at the moment.Valley by 6 goals

Willetton v Harbour, both teams desperately searching for wins now and would want to stay away from the bottom two area!Willo by 5 goals

Gossy v Mossy, massive game, a few back for Gossy this week I hear and the spectators will have the patio area in fine loud noise form. Mossy need to block out the noise and settle early to silence the crowd otherwise there in for a blood bath.Gossy by 2 points

Quinn’s v Kwinana, from one end of the freeway to the other, the bullring will have all cylinders firing come Saturday afternoon, the Kwinana boys are in for a treat. Kwinana by 10 points
 Good luck everyone

Piara and Gossy ....... Gossy is a big one! they are certain contenders for the flag this year so this will be a big one for them. I think they are capable of winning but my gut tells me they aren't quite there yet.

winners from the weekend

Cockburn easy over the Falcons
Valley by a point
Blues by 19 over The Dockers
Gossy by 10 points over Mossy
Knights by 34 over The Bulls

we split the difference KTB with Piara and Gossy!

Valley managed to hold on running out of a bench I think in 3rd quarter. Not the greatest performance but a win is a win and well played Kingsley who probably had more of the football but didn't look dangerous going forward in the first half.

Viper.... wind back the clock to last year when Brentwood traveled to Gossy oval undefeated to also come away with there first loss! Gossy love the big stage and the big games, the whole town packed under the patio full of voice. Got told from someone at the game that when things got hard, physical and not going there way that mossy started to argue with themselves and the umpires!

Piara didn’t even show up on Saturday and looked disinterested, lacked energy. On the other hand full credit to Lakes who came out of the blocks all guns blazing and set the tempo from the start with not looking back.
