Here we are 1/3 in to the season already and certainly actioned packed in C2! Everyone finally has a point on the board although no one would have picked Quinns to get theirs via a draw in round 5 against Gosnells. It's going to be a warm 24c this weekend and we have a top of the table clash that everyone will be looking forward to. State bye this weekend could send some reserves players back to their clubs .... who will that help out?

With that we might as well start with it.

Mossies Vs Valley - easy GOTR pick this one - Mossies undefeated so far and looking cherry ripe take on The Valley who have been the big improvers this season. Smaller Mossy oval will make this a contested game moreso than playing on the wide expanses at Valley and funnily enough Valley have won the last 2 games at Tom Perrott so certainly play some good football there. Valley are probably the Mossy bogey team in recent years and will be looking to shake that monkey this weekend. The balcony will be in full voice all day with all 3 of their teams in top 2 positions in every grade and Valley not far behind them so all 3 games should really be rip snorters. Valley by 2 goals for me.

Dockers Vs The Bulls - Bulls got the draw against the Hawks which is a massive surprise. Secret harbour also with the shock win over Cockburn Lakes now makes this a juicy game as well! It's a long fkn way from Quinns to Secret Harbour but I'm going to back the bulls to get their first win by 4 points!

Lakes Vs Blues - Blues winning their GF rematch will be good for their confidence and now get a shot at 5th place lakes. Interestingly 5th to 8th is differentiated by % only with Cockburn leading that charge and Willetton at the other end in 8th. Lakes dropping the game to the Dockers has hurt them and now the pack come a hunting but I'll tip them to fix it and win by 2 goals over The Blues

Knights Vs Hawks - Another for MOTR and Valley will be hoping Kwinana get this one to give them some breathing room from the Hawks. Kwinana were pretty good last week but atrocious in front of goal. They kicked a few late goals to bring the margin back to 13 points at the end and could probably lay claim to letting it get away with terrible kicking. Hawks with the upset draw will be pretty pissed at only taking 2 points home at home as well. If Kwinana play the same game again they'll win this but you can't write Gossy off. I'm going the Knights at home by a goal

Cats Vs Falcons - another rip snorter to round out the round with 6th taking on 7th. Cats dropping one they should have won and the Falcons have fallen in a hole after beating Valley in round 1 and don't look like recovering at the moment. Some will tip the Falcons to bounce back but I can't do it and Kingsley by a goal for me here.

Good luck all and enjoy the frothies

Great summary of this week Viper. The ladder still remains fairly even at this stage and over the next few weeks we should see it beak apart. Gossy kicked 5 goals in the last quarter to pull off a draw against bottom side Quinn’s. Harbour got there revenge from premiership winners Lakes. Piara lucky Mossy couldn’t kick straight. Valley with a big win at home, might of been a different result if Kwinana kicked straight and willo had a massive come from behind win at home to beat Kingsley.

Harbour v Quinn’s, well another big road trip on the cards for the bulls, they only just held on last week to scrape in a draw. Harbour now finally on the board and should make it two in a row.Harbour by 5 goals

Lakes v willetton, The Blues last quarter efforts last week was huge and showed that there best still to come. They can’t be one quarter wonders tho especially against Lakes who look to another win under there belt.Willo by 2 goals

Kwinana v Gossy, I hope Kwinana have had a bit of goal kicking practice this week. Gossy stormed home last week but can’t afford to do that this week to Kwinana at home. I’m sniffing an upset on the cards here. Kwinana by 9 points

Mossy v Valley,    GOTR. First v second and could the valley boys possibly hand Mossy there first loss for the season, it’s going to take a lot of that special grape juice that’s for sure. Mossy playing some very fine football at the moment and have a good spread all over. Mossy by 10 points

Kingsley v Piara Waters Well both sides find themselves out of the top five at the moment but a win could potentially send one back in. Much needed win by both and I think it’s going to come down to who wants it more.Kingsley by 2 points

 Good luck everyone

Well I wasn’t far off. Bulls notch their fist win by 9 points over The Dockers, Lakes by 29 over The Blues, The Knights by 26 over The Hawks, Falcons by 28 over The Cats and Mossy with a 6 goal 2nd quarter to set up their win by 19 points in what was a huge game of the round.

Well done all
