Round 5 is upon us and I didn't realise we were in for wet day last weekend. Turned out just to be rather windy more than wet. Mossy still undefeated but as it turns out they've played everyone in the bottom 5 so they have a tough few weeks coming up now and we'll see where they are at in about 3-4 weeks. The rest of the top 5 are also starting to play each other as well to add to the excitement of C2 this year. Most clubs will have some players missing now and its a matter of how your club can cope with those, how many players can play through some pain and how many are going to Europe as they can't handle the winter Perth weather.

Hawks Vs Bulls - Quinns kicked the first on the weekend but that was about it until later in the game. Gossy going about it at the moment with only the one loss and it's going to be a tough road trip for the Bulls this weekend. The massive Gossy oval won't bother the bulls but they need to find some firepower and soon. Hawks by 8 goals

Lakes Vs Dockers - 2022 GF rematch - Lakes with a nice away win and a close one at that will take some confidence they are definitely a finals chance in their first year in C2 for quite a while. This week they take on the winless Dockers who haven't started well at all. Lakes won't give these guys a sniff all day and will win by about 5 goals.

Falcons Vs Mossy - One of 2 MOTR's for me and everyone will be keen to see how Mossy go. Falcons with a first up win against Valley but haven't pushed anyone since and sit 7th at the moment. If they want to play finals they need to show up this week against the Mossy boys and take it right up to them. I think Mossy will stay undefeated by about 5 goals.

Valley Vs Knights - This is the MOTR for me with 3rd vs 4th and a loss here for both teams will hurt. She's a long way from Kwinana to Valley and even further travelling home after a loss (done it a couple times). After losing to Kingsley the Knights haven't put a foot wrong and will be brim full of confidence taking on the Valley boys who also faltered at the first hurdle but have been up and about since. I'm tip Valley at home by 2 goals.

Blues Vs Cats - Last years C1 teams go head to head here with the Blues coming off a bit of a hiding at the hands of the ladder leaders while the Cats just fell short against the Lakes boys. Cats have been quite competitive so far and they need this win to stay in touch with the 5 so I'm tipping those guys by 4 goals.

Good luck all and enjoy the frothies

Spot on Viper, it sure was windy last week looks like the sun will be out but still a cold one. Lakes won an impressive come from behind and Kingsley last week, Gossy traveled to the windy harbour town to bring home a win, piara simply outdone by a better Kwinana, Mossy still to go and didn’t look challenged by willo at all and valley got the four points at the bull ring! Viper did you go to this game, are the bulls really struggling??

Gossy v Quinn’s, Gossy back on home deck after some ground maintenance. The bulls with a hard travel out to Gossy oval are in for a long day and a longer drive home.Gossy by 10 goals

Lakes v Harbour, Lakes very impressive last week as they just kept digging and digging they picked Kingsley apart and made most of their opportunities. Harbour still looking for that first win but I don’t think it’s coming this week. Lake by 6 goals

Piara Waters v Mossy Well the piara boys will probably have to dip into there twos or thirds sides this week to find players as they face ladder leaders mossy who keep going from strength to strength.Mossy by 4 goals

Valley v Kwinana, my second choice for GOTR, both had solid wins last week and will be full of confidence. I think valley can really make a statement here if they have a solid win to show there the real deal. Kwinana probably in the same boat, a road win out in the valley will be tough.Kwinana by 3 points

Kingsley v Willetton, GOTR.Old c1 rivals now face off, both sitting in the bottom five and both looking to bounce back and start getting some wins. Games in c2 don’t come easy and the first couple of weeks these teams have found out. Time to get moving.Kingsley by 5 goals

 Good luck everyone

holy moly what a round in C2 football!

The Bulls drew with the Hawks
Dockers knock off Lakes
Mossy stay undefeated which makes this weekend oh so juicy
The Blues go bang in their C1 GF replay
Valley did enough to beat the Knights

not sure why the scores aren't up, maybe the umpires haven't uploaded the scores properly?
